LLT calls for indefinite blockade from Feb 14

Mokokchung, February 11 (MExN): The Longkhum Lanur Telongjem (LLT), with support from the Longkhum Watsu Telen, has decided to impose an indefinite blockade on all roadways passing through Longkhum village jurisdiction from February 14 onwards. LLT, in a letter to the Mokokchung Deputy Commissioner, informed that this move is being taken due to the lack of positive action with regard to the July 4, 2013 Dimapur murder case. LLT reminded the DC that it had issued notifications on January 15 and 16, setting January 31 as the deadline for the concerned administration to show positive action in the investigation of the case. Stating that ten days have lapsed since the deadline, it expressed regret at the lack of positive action and the apathy shown by the concerned administration and the government of Nagaland. LLT informed that ambulance service, media and law enforcement agency shall not fall under the ambit of the blockade. It further cautioned that the LLT would not be responsible for any untoward incident that may arise during the indefinite blockade.
