DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 24 (MExN): The Lotha Middle Range Public Organisation (LMRPO) today extended support to the NSCN standpoint for a national flag and constitution of the Nagas “as these two inherent and inalienable rights are the heart and soul of the Nagas.”
A press release from the LMRPO president, N Ntonsi Yanthan and general secretary, Abemo Lapon also extended support for an early and honourable lasting political solution within “the letter and spirit of the Framework Agreement.”
It further asserted the stand for a Naga flag and constitution, along with the integration of all Naga inhabited areas.
Meanwhile, maintaining that Wokha district has been “a historical landmark in the Naga national movement,” the LMRPO said it is determined to “uphold the legacy where our forefathers have sacrificed their whole life for the sake of the nation and left behind for posterity.”
“Each one of us has immensely contributed in the Naga national movement, we cannot allow the GoI to seize away the hard earned rights of the Nagas. We must collectively convey our strong message that Nagas will not compromise for anything less than what is honourable and acceptable to all the negotiating entities signed upon the principles of the Framework Agreement based on the unique history and aspiration of the Nagas,” it added.
