Wokha, May 14 (MExN): The Lotha Middle Range Students’ Union (LMRSU) has expressed resentment towards the ongoing road construction from Sanis Zero point to Lakhuti village under PMGSY ll.

The LMRSU officials inspected the undergoing road construction on May 10 where it has been observed that the work progress is stagnant, the Media Cell of LMRSU informed in a press release.

According to the union, ‘the Concerned Contractors has verbally assured on March 24, 2022 to the LMRSU officials that the black topping will start within fifteen days and probably complete it with forty-five working days using foreign technology, yet no progress has been made since the date of assurance.’

In this concern, LMRSU has submitted a representation to M/s Northeast Enterprises on May 12, 2022 and urged the registered company and concerned contractors to expedite the work within the end of this month.

“Failing to do so will resort to any form of democratic protest and will not remain mute spectators anymore,” LMRSU cautioned.
