
DIMAPUR, MAY 27 (MExN): The Department of Power has informed that the 33/11kV, 5MVA transformer at the 66/33/11kV Ganeshnagar sub-station was damaged at around 3:00 am on May 27.
While an alternate transformer has been arranged, the associated 11kV systems have also sustained severe damage. As a result, restoration of the affected infrastructure may take a few days.
In a press note, the Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Dimapur, said load-shedding may be implemented in the affected areas due to system constraints. The impacted locations include villages from Dhansiripar to Urra, Amaluma, Khehoi, Jalukie Sangtam, Khekhiho, Hebron, Shikavi, and Beisumpuikam.
The department said all efforts are being made to restore power supply at the earliest and appealed for public cooperation during the period of disruption.
