Since the last decade the phrase, “Lobbying in foreign lands” has become a good joke not only for IM gang but also among educated Nagas who goes for interviews with thick resumes but fails in the end. IM Gang lobbying abroad is akin to haphazard doctors seeking medicines abroad without diagnosing the ailment of the patients at home.
A thousand Naga National Workers abandoned IM in late 2007, for the very reason which the Naga people now clearly understand: Pursuing the right of the Nagas without consulting the Nagas. If reports are to be believed, Th. Muivah has a lot of answering to do in Ukhrul district first before anything else. A section of his own people has vowed to protect the territorial integrity of Manipur. Whose fault is it? Nobody in his/her right frame of mind can blame the Naga brothers of Manipur for taking such a step. It is because the rest of the Naga communities in Manipur are being crushed by Th. Muivah and his pandemic politics. In chasing his rigid dreams, the ailment of the Nagas has gotten chronic. To forge a common platform for all Nagas irrespective of groups, factions, regions and tribes was the crying need in the 1990’s and in the new millennium. Unity of the Nagas was only a handshake away and he completely missed the opportunity. God alone knows it was Th. Muivah who offered hundreds of invalid reasons and rejected all efforts of the Naga frontal organizations and the civil societies to commit to Naga reconciliation and Unification. Now every Anti-Naga trick is being employed by IM to blackmail the Nagas. Lobbying in foreign lands? For whom? GPRN/NSCN directs the so-called MIP of IM gang to convey to Th. Muivah that Nagas have risen from their slumber and are ready to defend the Naga people against destructive politics of IM.
It is also to be noted that since more than a thousand National workers who chose to unite all Nagas in 2007, are the witnesses, there was and is, nobody called Hukato Naga in the rank of lieutenant in the IM. This is a Sumi name invented purely to sow seeds of discord among the Sumi people in particular and Nagas in general. This so called Lt. Hukato Naga who indulges in occasional blabberins bereft of any political upbringing is, in truth, a Pseudonym used by the so called MIP of IM gang. Perhaps the idea stems from the fact that only a Sumi name would save its embarrassment, or what good reason could there be for IM to invent a Lieutenant Hukato Naga? A Captain’s rank is long overdue for such an officer even without a face!
