
PYO 26th general conference on January 8
Dimapur, January 4 (MExN): The 26th general conference cum sports meet of the Poilwa Youth Organisation (PYO) Nagaland will be held from January 8 at Poilwa Village under the theme ‘Master your profession.’ PYO general secretary Akobe Kereking has informed in a press release that Dr. Er. Vikuotuolie Angami will be the chief guest for the general conference on January 8 and K. Haralu, OSD Urban Development and Programme Director SIPMIU as the chief guest of the sports meet on January 10. The main highlights of the programme will be cultural extravaganza, talent show and sports representing from all the different khels of Poilwa. The valedictory function will witness distribution of prizes, presentation of cultural dance, folk song competition and entertainment from different units of PYO. The Organisations has invited various Zeliangrong Frontal Organisation, youth leaders, elders and students from Poila to attend the programme.

Dimapur, January 4 (MExN): According to a press release issued by Mpai Youth Association (MYA) general secretary, Namchilimg, the MPAI village council chairman and VDB secretary have tender resignation. The general secretary stated that in pursuance of misuse of public office, a joint meeting of the MYA and VC was initiated by the MYA on January 2, 2011, wherein “conduct of office and misappropriation of public funds” were deliberated. Consequent upon its failure to produce relevant evidence demanded by the general public as deemed fit, the said two tendered their resignation “in sound mind and robust health.”
