CSU condemns sexual assault incidents

Dimapur, January 12 (MExN):
The Chakhesang Students’ Union has strongly condemned the heinous act meted to two girls from Leshemi village on January. The girls were assaulted and molested by five youth from Khezhakeno village. The union has also flayed the rape of a minor girl (15-years-old) by one Tsahuyo, a former Nagaland wrestling champion, at Kirkruma village under Phek district on January 3.  A  press release jointly issued by its president, Esther Rhakho and general secretary, Kewelhilo Rabvo stated that such persons have no place  to live in the society. It has called upon the right thinking citizens to condemn such barbaric and uncivilized act and urge the concerned authority to award a befitting punishment at the earliest as per the law of the land.

Information on CMC Job Enabled Training

Kohima, January 12 (MExN):
The Directorate of Technical Education, in continuation of the office’s advertisement dated 22nd December 2010 has informed that the last date of submission of application forms for CMC Job Enabled Training at Kolkata (a part of TATA Group) for 3 (three) months is being extended till January 20, 2011. Logical & Reasoning test & Interview will be conducted on January 21 at the conference Hall of the Directorate of Technical Education, Kohima, at 11:00 a.m. All other terms and conditions remains the same.

Old Showuba Village Council informs

Dimapur, January 12 (MExN):
All concern citizens of Old Showuba village are informed that the council is going to hold its 41st general session on January 17, 2011 at 9:00 am onwards, at Old Showuba Council Hall. A press note issued by Z. Ato Yimchunger, Old Showuba Village council secretary requested all the concern to attend the said session without fail.

TGSU elects office bearers

Dimapur, January 12 (MExN):
The Tesophenyu Group Students Union (Tseminyu) held its general meeting on January 4 at the conference hall of Rengma Students Union Office and elected office bearers for the tenure of 2011-12. The TGSU team will have president-Gwashalo Magh; Vice president-Newale Seb; Secretary General-C. Anthony Magh; Finance Secretary-Jochuhyulo Seb; Union speaker-Yhunchulo Seb; Treasurer-Zenilo Tep and Advisory Board-Nnoyhun Tep, Kepenmo Jemu, Kevi Kemp, Zato Magh and Agwaseng Tep.

ZRSU conference from today

Dimapur, January 12 (MExN):
The 33rd Biennial conference of the Zunheboto Range Students’ Union (ZRSU) will commence from January 13 with the theme “Enunciating Creative Knowledge with perception of age.” H. Khekiho Zhimomi, MP Rajya Sabha will be the chief guest. ZRSU president Annika K Yepthomi in a press release informed that the four day long conference will be marked by competition in various events such as indigenous cultural items, games and sports etc. The conference is being hosted by Natha Old Students’ Union.

WMC Convention from Jan 14

Dimapur, January 12 (MExN):
Women Missionary Council Convention for Wokha section will be held from January 14 to 16, 2011 at Mungya A.G Church on the theme “Arise, Arise Deborah”. A press note informed that the speakers are Rev. Moses Murry, general superintend, AGEI, Rev. Dr. T. R Angami, super indent, Nagaland district, and Esther Murry, Women co-ordinator, AGEI. Also, choirs from Assembly of Church Chukitong, Assembly of Church, Wokha Town will be performing during the convention.
