Eastern Sumi Meet on June 15
Dimapur, June 7 (MExN): The Eastern Sumi Meet will be held at Aghunato Town on June 15 at 10:00 am. All concerned Sumi under Aghunato Area and Kiphire district are informed to attend the programme on schedule time fixed without fail. This was informed in a press release isuued by programme committee.
Farm schools in Wokha inaugurated
Dimapur, June 7 (MExN): A Farm School on banana and fishery was opened at Tsungza and Alikhum village under ATMA Wokha on May 30 and June1 respectively. Resource persons for the inauguration of the two farm schools are Zuthunglo BTT convener, Yanglen DPD, Pipen SMS, Portia BTT convener, Subenthung DPD, Mhomo SMS, Janbenthung BTM and Abeni BTM. Farm school kit and fingerlings were distributed to the farm school students. In another programme SHG/CIG/FO’s mobilization and appraisal was conducted at LTC hall Wokha and Town hall Baghty on May 25 and May 31 respectively. All together 110 farmers attended the programme. This was informed in a press release issued by Wokha ATMA Coordinator Dr. Mhonchan Shitiri.
JNV Mkg students score 100%
Mokokchung, June 7 (DIPR): Reflecting the impact of disciplined Co-educational and residential culture of Jawahar Navodya Vidyalaya (JNV) across the country, JNV Mokokchung has produced a commendable result in the class X examination conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) 2011. With 100% pass record 3(three) students joined the toppers by scoring 10 CGPA out of 100% in all 5(five) subjects. The toppers are Tiaienla D/o Tongpangsungba, Moasunep S/o Nungsangmar and Rony Borah S/o Deepak Borah.
Meeting time rescheduled
Kohima, June 7 (DIPR): Parliamentary Secretary RD and REPA, Pangnyu Phom meeting with the Project Directors DRDAs and Ombudsmen of MGNREGA of Nagaland state which has been scheduled to be held on 9th June 2011 at Hotel Japfu at 11 a.m, the time schedule of the meeting has been postponed to 1 p.m however the venue and the date remain unchanged.
Rodent campaign launched at Seiyhama
Kohima, June (DIPR): The District level Rodent Campaign for Kohima district was launched at Seiyhama Village by T.V. Holo Addl. Director (Agriculture) on June 7 and exhortation of farmers by Dr. Deepak Chetri Jt. Director (Agriculture). Altogether 150 farmers from five (5) villages attended in the launching campaign cum training programme followed by distribution of inputs. Technical session was taken up by Seyievonuo A.O II, Demonstration of local traps by Myanthung A.O II, Khriesezolie Kire SMS & Kekhrieletuo Yhome APPO. The ATMA Kohima team also participated in the training programme. The Programme was chaired by Nosezole District Agriculture Officer & P.D (ATMA Kohima).

Dimapur, June 7 (MExN): The Zeliangrong Student Union (ZSU) will be organizing a felicitation programme for all the toppers and meritorious students of HSLC and HSSLC on June 11 at Baudi hall, Jalukie. The union in a press note from Kangzang Liegise, Organizing committee invites all the toppers and merit students of HSLC & HSSLC, president and secretary of all the units, senior leaders, Head masters/ Principals of both private and Government Schools to attend the said program at 11:00 am.

Dimapur, June 7 (MExN): The Dimapur Sumi Students Union (DSSU) has convened the joint meeting on June 9, 2011 at 3:00 pm at its union banker, Notun Bosti. The meeting will deliberate for the upcoming 36th general conference. Therefore, all the unit president representatives of various colleges and colony/sector are informed to attend the meting without fail. This was informed in a press note issued by H.Toniho Achumi, president DSSU.
Dimapur Bengali Hindu Council formed
Dimapur, June 7 (MExN): A meeting of the Bengali members of Hindu community of Dimapur was held at Bharat Sevashram Sangha premises, Dimapur on June 5, 2011 at 11:00 am. A press note issued by Tarun Nandi, president, DBHC informed that a body representing the Bengali Hindu people of Dimapur was formed. The body has been christened as the “Dimapur Bengali Hindu Council”. The meeting was attended by a large section of the community including elders and the youth alike. The note also mentioned that council members were unanimous in their pledge to cooperate and work together with all other communities of Dimapur in all aspects of social life. The consensus has elected the portfolios as follows: president- Tarun Nandi, vice-president- Samir Saha and Raj Kumar Dey, general secreatry- Ashish Deb, treasurer- Abhijit Choudhury.
