DNSU election notice

Dimapur, June 15 (MExN):
The election commission of The Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) informs to all the concerned constituent units that the election for the tenure 2011-2013, has been fixed on June 23, 2011 between 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm at Ana Ki building, conference hall opposite to Tata parking Khermahal, Dimapur. In this regard, a oppress note issued by Mhademo, chairman election commission stated that nomination paper will be available from the office of DNSU on any working days till June 18, 2011. Submission of nomination paper maybe submitted between 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on June 20, and withdrawal of candidature will be on June 22 till 3:00 pm at the office.

CES evidence meeting on June 22

Dimapur, June 15 (MExN):
Evidence meeting of the Committee on Estimates with the Departmental representatives of Irrigation & Flood Control Department and Social Welfare Department has been fixed on June 22, 2011 at 11:00 am and 12 noon respectively in the Committee room of Nagaland Legislative Assembly. All the concern Committee members are requested to kindly make it convenient to attend the aforesaid meeting. This has been informed in a press note issued by A.E Lotha, secretary, NLA.

Mon DPDB meet deferred to June 22

Dimapur, June 15 (DIPR):
The District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) Meeting for the month of June 2011 has been deferred to June 22, 2011 at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Mon. The meeting will coincide with the felicitation programme of the HSLC 2011 toppers in Mon district. All the Board members are requested to attend the meeting without fail.

NPA executive meet on June 21

Kohima, June 15 (MExN):
The Nagaland Pensioners’ Association (NPA) Executive Committee meeting will be held on June 21 at 11.00 am at NPA office, old secretariat complex, Kohima. V.Angami, President NPA has requested all the executive members of NPA to attend the meeting positively.

Two NPF workers resign and join Cong

Dimapur, June 15 (MExN):
Shikavi Shohe, and Henili, president and active member of ward No-22 respectively of 1 Dimapur-1 A/C has resigned from the NPF party. A press note issued by Shikavi Sohe stated, “We were strong NPF party workers under ward No-22, 1 Dimpaur-1 A/C but due to the greediness, selfishness and weakness of party leader of NPF 1 Dimapur-1 A/C, we have decided to join the congress party to support the leadership of MLA and former state Chief Minister K.L Chichi and ex DMC member of Ward No 22 Pukhavi Yepthomi, considering their contribution towards the developmental activities for the interest of the people.  Meanwhile, a separate press note issued by Tukuka H. Awomi, president ACCC 1 Dimapur-1 A/C welcomed the resigned NPF workers to the Congress party and assured to strengthen the INC Party.
