CCSUK informs students

The Chang College Students ’ Union Kohima (CCSUK) informed to all the Chang students’ who passed out HSLC & HSSLC and joined the various secondary schools and colleges in and around Kohima to register their names in the union through their respective college representatives to the union. A press note issued by press & information secretary, Akhumla stated that those students failing to register their names, the union shall not take any responsible in times of his/her turbulence period. EC Oral Evidence meet on June 22

Dimapur, June 20 (MExN):
Members are reminded that Oral Evidence meeting of Estimates Committee with departmental representatives of Irrigation & Flood Control and Social Welfare Department (NSAP) has been fixed on June 22, 2011 at 11:00 am, in the Assembly Committee room, Kohima. A press note issued by the office of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly stated, “Kindly make it convenient to attend the meeting positively”.

All India art contest & exhibition

Kohima, June 20 (MExN):
The South Central Zone Cultural Centre, Nagpur is organizing 25th All India Art Contest Exhbition-2011 for professional and youth categories from October 2 till 11 at Nagpur in Maharastra. All India art contest is a prestigious annual programme of the South Central Zone Cultural Centre, Nagpur since last 24 years and it has been widely appreciated and adored by the artists, experts, critics and art lovers across the country. The contest will be conducted in painting, sculpture, graphic/drawing in youth and professional categories. The artists have been requested to send their transparencies or photograph for pre-judging to the Director, South Central Zone Cultural Centre, Nagpur on their own record. Last date of submission of transparencies/photograph is June 30th  and last date for receiving original exhibits for final judge will be on August 23. Entry form along with prospectus can be obtained from the office of the Director, South Central Zone Cultural Centre, 56/1, opposite MLA Hostel, Civil Lies, Nagpur- 440001 and can be downloaded from website of the Centre www.sczcc.gov.in. New NPF office inaugurated at Wokha

Dimapur, June 20 (MEKN):
The office of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) 38th Wokha A/C was inaugurated on June 15, 2011.  A press note issued by Yipen Tungoe, president NPF 38th Wokha A/C stated that the programme has been attended by Minister for Agriculture Dr. Chumben Murry, A.Y Odyuo, president NPF, Wokha district, president NPF 37th, 38th and 40th Wokha A/C and village units of NPF 38th Wokha A/C followed by a joint meeting. The note also mentioned that besides other agendas, the meeting deliberately discussed the future course of action for re-strengthening the party and resolved to work cohesively towards the progress and prosperity of the party.
