WASU General conference on Jan 18

Kohima, January 13(MExN):
The 39th General conference of the western Angami students’ union (WASU) will be held on January 18th at Kohima Science College Auditorium, Jotsoma under the theme “Edifying the civic values”. An information note issue by President, Keviuchütuo Kuotsu and General Secretary, Rü-ünguso mentioned, Trustee, friends of Moral Re-Armament (India), Trustee, centre for North East studies and Research policy Research, Guwahati and New Delhi, Niketu Iralu and Associate professor, Education department, NU, Buno Zetsuvi, will grace the occasion as the chief guest and guest of honor respectively. The press release informs the concern unit, former presidents, student leaders, leader of various organizations within Western Angami and all well wishers to be a part of the occasion.

ADC Bhandari convenes meeting
 
Wokha, January 13 (DIPR):
In view of the forthcoming Republic Day celebration in Bhandari, ADC Bhandari, Robin Lotha has convened a co-ordination meeting of all Head of Departments, NGO’s and public leaders on January 18, 2011 at the ADC’s office from 11:00 am onwards. Therefore all concerned are requested to attend the schedule meeting without fail.

DC Mokokchung informs
 
Mokokchung, January 13 (DIPR):
Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Lithrongla G. Chishi has informed that training for the population Enumeration phase of the census of Mokokchung District is scheduled from 17th to 24th January 2011. In this regard all Enumerators/Supervisors have been informed to attend the training. Moreover, all charge officers are directed to ensure attendance and to make necessary arrangement for the accommodation of the Master Trainers. The training scheduled are as follow: Tuli, Molungyimsen, Molungkimong, Molungyimsen ‘B’, Yajang A,B,C and Yajang village from 17-19 January at ADC conference Hall Tuli; Changtongya, Chuchuyimlang from 17-19 January 2011 at Town hall Changtongya; Mangkolemba, Merangmen 17-19 January at DB’s Court Mangkolemba; Longchem, Alongkima 17-19 January at town hall Mangkolemba.

Mkg DEO directs principals, headmasters

Mokokchung, January 13 (MExN):
The office of the District Education Officer, Mokokchung today directed all the principal or headmaster of the Government Hr Sec Schools and High Schools under Mokokchung district to submit relevant documents in respect of Adhoc appointees who have served for three years or more of continuous service as on November 30, 2010. The documents are to be submitted to the Director of School Education, Nagaland Kohima, latest by January 31, 2010.  The documents required are one photo copy each of the first appointment order and the latest extension order. All original educational mark sheet and Certificate (HSLC onward) along with a photo copy of each. Three copies of passport size photographs duly attested by the ‘controlling Officers’.  This action is in pursuance of the directive from the School Education Department, Nagaland, Kohima, informed a circular from the DEO Mokokchung. In this connection the Mokokchung DEO requested all DIS/Principal/Headmaster to forward the list of all genuine teachers falling under the given category along with the relevant documents on or before the given date.

Kohima DPDB to award meritorious students
 
Kohima, January 13 (DIPR):
The District Planning & Development Board, Kohima will be awarding Government High School students under Kohima district who comes up to the Top 50 in HSLC examination 2011 with a cash award of ` 10,000 each with a citation. However, if no candidate reaches up to Top 50, the highest aggregate candidate with 1st Division will be awarded ` 5000 along with a citation. The award is solemnly confined to Government High School students under Kohima district. The DPDB Kohima is initiating this venture to encouraged and facilitate Government High School students under Kohima district to strive harder and achieve better results. Students preparing for HSLC 2011 have been therefore requested by the Board to put more effort in their studies with competitive spirit and avail this meritorious award in the presence of all Board members.

SCERT informs on PSTE, B.Ed course

Kohima, January 13 (MExN):
In view of the several queries, the State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT), Nagaland notified that only those candidates who have successfully completed PSTE course are eligible to sit for primary teacher recruitment examination. The same applies to B.Ed course for graduate teacher post. It also notified that all DEOs are to submit the applications with photos so that SCERT may issue admit cards. DEOs are to collect admit cards and other confidential papers from SCERT on January 17 and 18 positively. Further, it notified that applications with incomplete/incorrect documents are liable to be disqualified even after the written examination.
