CANSSEA consultative meet today

Kohima, August 3 (MExN):
The CANSSEA will hold a consultative meeting with the Head of Departments to consult on common interested issue on August 4 at 3:00 P.M at Zonal Council Hall Kohima. All the head of department and the presidents of all the constituent Association are requested to attend the meeting positively.

AAYF appeals to co-operate

Dimapur, August 3 (MExN):
The recently formed Atoizu Area Youth Forum has appealed to all its members and different associations under Atoizu area to co-operate with one another to strife for social and economic upliftment of our area. The president of the forum in a press note stated: “It has made known to all that the forum was formed to foster unity and integrity of our area and to strengthen and provide guidance on political rights and consciousness. Beside it will promote and safeguard the interest of our society and to equip the youths with the knowledge on ever changing trend and encourage self-reliant and entrepreneurship.”

HoD of English dept NU informs

Leo club organizes Kawar Yatra Project

Dimapur, August 3 (MExN):
Leo club of Dimapur, youth wings has organized Kawar Yatra Project on August 3 at Rangapahar, near about 600 to 700 Kawaris were there. The Club served food items like khir, Puri and Sabjhi under the Chairmanship of Ankit Jain & co-chairman Leo Sandeep Jain.    

NBCC Platinum Jubilee

The Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) will be celebrating Platinum Jubilee on April 19-22, where in that connection the Environment and Sanitation Committee NBCC had resolved to launch Environment and Sanitation Campaign in schools, colleges and colonies.

New Longmatra village informs

Dimapur, August 3 (MExN):
The Village Council, GBs, party workers and general public of new Longmatra village held a general meeting on July 20. The house discussed various developmental activities including political party background of the village. After a serious discussion the houes unanimously resolved to support C. Kipili Sangtam, MLA & Chairman NSMDC leadership and declared support in favor of him in the coming general election. This was stated in a joint press release issued by VC chairman Tsithrongju Sangtam and secretary Thepenju Sangtam.

NU notifies admission for MA Edu

Kohima August 3 (MExN):
  This is to inform that the merit list of all eligible candidates for admission selection to M.A Education in Nagaland University has been put up in the Notice Board of the Department of Education. The candidates are informed to appear an interview on 18th August at 10:00am in the Department of Education at Meriema. They are also informed to bring along all necessary certificates/documents in original. Failing which, their candidature will not be entertained. This was informed in a note issued by Dr. Buno Liegise, Head of Department of Education.

Old Age Home at Mongsenyimti village

Mokochung, August 3 (DIPR):
“Late Imimakok was a sincere, hard working and an upright person who always stood for the downtrodden people,” stated MLA, T. Sentichuba who was the chief guest during the opening of Imimakok Jamir Memorial Old Age Home cum-Multipurpose Hall at Mongsenyimti village on August 1. He thanked all the grand sons and daughters of Late Imimakok for contributing this Old Age Home for the old folks of the village in the memory of their grandfather.

PDLFSA general sitting on Aug 10

Dimapur, August 3 (MExN):
The general sitting of the Peren District Leprosy Field Staff Association (PDLFSA) will be held on August 10 at 11:00 am in the conference hall of CMO Peren. Soyim Students’ Union conference held

Mokokchung, August 3 (DIPR):
The 66th Annual Conference of Soyim Students Union was held at Soyim Aonlenden (Ungma Village) on August 2, where Nagaland Home Minister, Imkong L. Imchen graced the programme as the chief guest. While addressing the Conference, the Home Minister reiterated that Nagas should learn to live as one. He therefore called upon every Nagas to shoulder the responsibility for the unity in our State. He also expressed grave concern over the abominable modern crimes in Naga society such as rape and murder. He called upon the students to work harder to achieve their respective goals. Toshipokba MLA and President, Ao Students Conference Akok Longkumer also addressed the gathering.

VYO condemn

Kohima, August 3 (MExN):
The Viswema Youth Organization (VYO) condemned the inhuman act by a deranged man Purhakhu, where a lady from Viswema Village Puchozole was attacked on 22 July with Naga Dao (Machete) and fled after critically injuring the latter at her house. A press release issued by its president Meyiekul Noswe and publicity & information secretary  Krodiho Kenna-o stated that since then the VYO with the local authority had been carrying out manhunt to nab the culprit, who is yet to be apprehended, for which the organization would like the help and support of the public in this matter.
