Kohima DCC meeting today

Dimapur, August 4 (MExN):
The Kohima District Congress Committee has convened an executive meeting on August 5 at 11:00 am in DCC Office Kohima. Therefore, all the DCC office bearers, ACCC president and frontal chief are requested to attend the meeting without fail.  

ANPSTA elects new team

Kohima, August 4 (MExN):
The All Nagaland Pre-Service Teachers Association (ANPSTA) held its meeting on August 2 last and elected its office bearers for the tenure 2011-13. President- Suyimramok Jmair, vice president- Mhaphruneizo Zumu and Mhathung Lotha, general secretary- Akhuobu Vewsu, finance secretary- Limasangwa, members- Khusi Pfithu and Namthiobibo Chemang, information secretary- Vikuo Pfukha and Tialila Longchar as assistant information secretary. Meanwhile, the Association requested all the employed ANPSTA members to pay an amount of Rs. 200 for running of the centre office.

Audit and accounts committee constituted

Kohima, August 4 (DIPR):
In the interest of Public Service, the Government of Nagaland has constituted Departmental Audit and Accounts Committee comprising of the following members/officials to review/disposal of Audit Para on monthly basis with immediate effect. Commissioner & Secretary (Power) as Chairman, Addl. Chief Engineer (Power) as Member/Secretary and other members included Chief Engineer (Power), DDO of CE Office (Power) and Sr. Accounts Officers (Power).

Consultative meeting for PSU (N) golden jubilee

Kohima, August 4 (MExN):
The executive of Poilwa Students’ Union (Nagaland), representative of its units under PSU, various committee members of golden jubilee, PYO and councils of both old and new, senior leaders, officers and well wishers have been informed that there will consultative meeting for the forthcoming Golden Jubilee on August 6 at 1:00 AM at the residence of Peusuibe, secretary for golden jubilee. Every federating unit and the mentioned bodies have been requested to attend the meeting without fail.

CTC demarcation drive on August 11

Dimapur, August 4 (MExN):
The Chumukedima Town Council has informed that land reservation and demarcation drive for widening of Khouva Road will be done on August 11 from 6:00 am onwards. CTC Chief Advisor in a press release stated that it will be carried out as per the decision arrived in the joint consultative meeting held on June 8, 2011 of public leaders of ward-10, ward-11, Teniyphe-11, Virazouma, Chumukedima Village and Chumukedima Town. Therefore, all the public leaders concerned are requested to make convenient to gather/report at 7th Mile Junction at the time mentioned without fail.

DC Wokha informs
 
Wokha, August 4 (DIPR):
Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB Wokha, Rovilatuo Mor (NCS) has informed that DPDB meeting for the month of August 2011 will be held on August 9, where very important agenda including approval of LADP proposals will be discussed. All DPDB members are also invited for dinner at 4:00 p.m. by Parliamentary Secretary and Chairman DPDB Wokha, Y. Patton at his private residence Wokha after the meeting. Therefore, all members are requested to compulsorily attend the meeting.

KMC introduces more bus service

Kohima, August 4 (MExN):
In the interest of public service, buses under JNNURM shall be introduced on the following routes with effect from August 8. Kohima (TCP Gate)- Sechü/Zubza, District Jail Kohima- Science College Jotsoma, High School Junction- Thizama, Tinpati Junction- Kohima College, PHQ Junction- High School Junction and High School Junction- PHQ Junction.

Metümnio festival on Aug 8

Kohima, August 4 (MExN):
The Yimchungrü Union Kohima will be celebrating Metümnio festival on August 8 at 10:00 AM at the Union’s treasurer residence below Modern College, Kohima. All the Yimchungrüs residing in Kohima have been directed to attend the festival without fail.

NU interview for MA in English

Kohima, August 4 (DIPR):
The admission committee, English department, Nagaland University has published the list of the candidates called for interview for M.A. in English, Nagaland university, in the department of English, Kohima campus, at Meriema. Candidates with serial nos. 1 to 45 are to appear for interview on August 16 or 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. along with their original mark-sheets & documents; failing which candidates in the waiting list will be called for interview in   order of merit.  Literature related questions will be asked at the interview.

One person killed in accident at Tuli

Mokokchung, August 4 (DIPR):
One person was killed in an accident in Longpong ward Tuli on August 2 at around 1130 hrs by a van (white colour). The decease was identified as Lt. Merinuklen, 86 years of age s/o Lt. Zulumong of Merangkong village presently a residence of Longpong ward. The driver of the van, Shutula Singh s/o Kumar Singh of Manipur Imphal district and a residence of Mendenti Ward Tuli was arrested in this connection.

Provisional population totals papers 2

Kohima, August 4 (MExN):
The Directorate of Census operations will be releasing the provisional population totals paper -2 (Volume 1) on August 5 at 11:00 AM at Hotel Japfu, Kohima. Minister for urban development and higher & technical education Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu will release the same. Presentation on rural –urban distribution of population of census 2011 will be made by V. Hekali Zhimomi, IAS, DCO Nagaland.

Rajya Sainik Board Kohima informs

Dimapur, August 4 (MExN):
All DCs from Home Commissioner Nagaland Ex Servicemen along with Ex Paramilitary personnel may form contingent for the Independence Day parade in their Districts HQs to cover their expenses, Rs 10000 has been sanctioned. DCs may arrange collection from Rajya Sainik Board Kohima or forward their Bank Account details Mob No 9856032314/0370 2270029 during office hours. This was informed in a press release issued by Rajeev Dong, Wing Commander Retd, Deputy Director, Rajya Sainik Board Kohima.

TSU meet on August 7

Kohima, August 4 (MExN):
The Thipüzumi Students’ Union will hold a meeting on August 7 at 2: 00 PM at the residence of its assistant general secretary Vevotalü Rhakho, forest colony Kohima. All the executive and senior students have been requested to attend the said meeting.
