Dimapur, September 20 (MExN): The Kyong Lower range Students’ Union (KLRSU) has convened its first presidential meeting 2011 on September 21 at 2:00 pm at the residence of cultural secretary KLRSU, near Livingstone Hr Sec School, Signal Dimapur. Mokokchung, September 20 (DIPR): The Deputy Inspector of Schools Mokokchung has informed to all schools under its jurisdiction to collect Mid-Day Meal (cooking cost and rice) from the office of the Deputy Inspector of Schools during office hour on September 21 and 22 respectively without fail.
CM to grace CSUK golden jubilee
Kohima, September 20 (DIPR): Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio will be gracing the Golden Jubilee of Chakhesang Students Union Kohima (CSUK) as chief guest on September 22 at Cultural Arena Kisama while Parliamentary Secretary for Social Welfare & Women Development, Chotisuh Sazo will be the guest of honour. The programme will be held under the theme “Dare to Dream”.
Free coaching classes launch
Mokokchung, September 20 (DIPR): The free coaching classes for Class 10 students organized and sponsored by Ao Students Conference was formally launched at Government High School Dilong, Mokokchung on 19th September 2011 where in Rev. Nüngashi offered invocation. Altogether 45 students were enrolled and having regular classes in the following subjects Maths, Science and English. It may be recalled that the Ao Students Conference has started this free coaching classes since 2002 in a bid to impart more attention in some major subjects.

Kohima, September 20 (MExN): The Modern College, Kohima is going to celebrate its 14th freshers day on September 22 at the State Academy hall, Kohima at 9:30 AM. F. P. Solo, commissioner & secretary for higher and technical education will grace the function as the chief guest.
Mkg police checks traffic problem
Mokokchung, September 20 (DIPR): With the ever-increasing number of vehicles in Mokokchung Town, it has become a big problem for the commuters especially during the peak hours with traffic-jam like those of Kohima and Dimapur that causes much inconvenience to the citizens. Therefore in order to bring down traffic problem in the Town to a certain level the Police department along with the traffic Police personnel put up 150 metal boards in the Town with signs restricting or allowing for parking of vehicles in different locations as well as sign boards that indicates public places such as schools, market place etc where vehicles need to slow down. The work was carried out with an expense of around Rs.2 lakhs, which was contributed amongst the personnel and traffic police, Mokokchung.
Naga boy tops in M. Sc NEHU
Mokokchung, September 20 (DIPR): Sungkumlong Jamir son of Merentoshi from Changki village obtained his first class first position in M. Sc Chemistry final examination 2011 from North Eastern Hill University, Shillong. Prior to this, he was also awarded Gold Medal for his excellent performance in B.Sc. Chemistry subject from Chennai University in 2008.
