
Dimapur GPS teachers training on School health prog
Dimapur, September 22 (MExN): All GPS under DIS officer, Dimapur are informed that there will be a GPS teachers training on School health programme for four days in phase wise. A press note issued by S. ATOMI SWU, Deputy Inspector of Schools, Dimapur stated that all teacher-in-charge of GPS under this establishment are hereby directed to depute one male and one female teacher from each school to participate in the said training without fail. Failing which teacher-in-charge of the school will be held responsible. The note also informed that training will be held at Chumukedima Block upto Kuki dolong, on September 27 at Chumu Town Hall near public ground at 10:00 am, Medziphema Block Kuki dolong above on September 28, 2011 at Medziphema Trauma Centre at 10:00 am, Dhansiripar Block, September 29 at Dhansiripar Community Hall on 10:00 am and Dimapur Urban block on September 30 Nagarjan Panchayat hall at 10:00 am.
Cancer screening camp held at NHK
Dimapur, September 22 (DIPR): A cancer awareness programme and Free Cancer Screening Camp was held at Naga Hospital Kohima (NHK) on September 22, 2011. The cancer awareness camp was organised by the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland and Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Kolkota. Doctors from Apollo Gleneagles Hospital and NHK examined patients during the whole day screening camp, which started from 9:00 a.m in the morning.

Amra Ka-Jan cultural prog concludes
Dimapur, September 22 (MExN): Amra Ka-Jan Dimapur, a socio cultural organization has successfully concluded its cultural competition programme with the participants of Dimapur and other neighbouring areas of Northeast on September 13, 2011 in the auditorium of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Dimapur with the cooperation of the people of all sections of Dimapur, Nagaland.
A press note issued by Subhash Sarkar stated that the programme commenced on September 4 with the art competition with 227 participants followed by songs, dances, tabla and recitation of Rabindra Nath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam and Sukanta Bhattacharya by nearly 500 participants of different age group from September 10 to 13. His holiness, Swami Chinmayanandaji Maharaj, Secretary, Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Dimapur graced the occasion as the chief guest and delivered a short and very valuable speed before giving away prizes to the successful participants at the end of the programme.
