AICC seminar today

Dimapur, January 27 (MExN):
All India Christian Council (AICC) is organising series of seminar on Human Rights, Human Trafficking, North East Migration and Challenges in Mega cities at Dimapur on January 28, Kakching (Manipur) on 30th and Imphal (Manipur) on the 31st. Dr. Sam Paul, National Secretary for Public Affair of All India Christian Council and Madhu Chandra Spokesperson of North East Support Centre & Helpline will address the issue and challenges of human trafficking and North East Challenges in Mega Cities in a press conference after the seminar at Dimapur.

Rural Haat inaugural on Jan 29

Dimapur, January 27 (MExN):
Rural Haat, a family rest house, located at T.L Angami Park, New Chumukedima Dimapur will be inaugurated on January 29 at 11:00 am. S. Pangyu Phom, Parliamentary Secretary RD & REPA will grace the inaugural programme, while Rev. T.T Angami and Metsubu Jamir R.D Director will be the guest of honour.

Prayer Walk on Jan 29

Dimapur, January 27 (MExN):
All organising committees and sub-committees of Nagaland Prayer Festival 2011 are informed that there will be a “Prayer Walk” on January 29, 2011 from 10:00 at Agri Expo Ground, 4th Mile, Dimapur. The event is being organised by Nagaland Baptist Church Council, Dimapur. A press note issued by the organizing committee, Nagaland Prayer Festival 2011 requested all the members to participate without fail.

Census training begins at Mon

Mon, January 27 (DIPR):
Three Days Census Training for Mon Sadar & Mon Sub-Division and Shangnyu Circle begins today (27th January 2011) at DC’s Conference Hall, Mon. ADC Mon & District Census Officer, Sarah R. Ritse gave a brief introduction speech to the Supervisors and Enumerators. The Master Trainer for Mon Sadar, Lily Angami, Lecturer Wangkhao College, Mon; Master Trainer for Mon Sub-Division, Alongse Sangtam, Principal ITI, Mon and Master Trainer for Shangnyu Circle, Lalan Singh Graduate Teacher, GMS Shangnyu imparted training to the respective Supervisors and Enumerators.

GPP Kohima donates

Dimapur, January 27 (MExN):
In commemoration of the 62nd Republic Day and as part of the official visiting programme a delegation of the Gorkha Public Panchayat (GPP), Kohima, led by its President, B. B. Gurung, including Advisor Bharat Kr. Thapa and Head G.B Kamal Chettri visited Mental Hospital, Kohima. They donated 2 bags of rice, meat, vegetables, milk etc. The members were received by Dr. Vikiye Medikhru and the staff of the hospital. This was informed in a press release issued by Bikash Lama, Information Secretary, Gorkha Public Panchayat, Kohima.           

MTSU celebrates silver jubilee

Dimapur, January 27 (MExN):
The Mopong Town Students’ Union (MTSU) observed its 25th year of existence on January 15 and 16 under the theme ‘Unity is strength’ with Y. H Pongchai, lecturer Mon Theological College as the jubilee speaker. Panglhong Konyak, Assistant Commandant Longleng and A. Nyamnyel, ex-minister graced the programme as chief guest of silver jubilee and cultural programme respectively. MTSU Literary Secretary N. Wangba in a press release said that the speakers spoke on the theme, role of educated youth in the church and role of education in the advanced world.

NBCC 78th Annual session

Kohima, January 27 (MExN): 
The 74th Annual Session of Nagaland Baptist Church council is scheduled to be held at Rotami under Zunheboto district starting from February 4-6. A press release issued by General Secretary NBCC, Dr.Rev Anjo Keikung, stated that besides the regular programmes, there will be special workshop for village leaders from Zunheboto districts during the session.

NCFAA 16th annual conference on Feb 11

Dimapur, January 27 (MExN):
The Nagaland Veterinary Field Assistants Association (NVFAA) 16th annual general body conference will be held on February 11, 2011 at District Veterinary Officer Conference Hall, Dimapur at 9:00 am sharp. A press note issued by L. Aphien Nka, secretary information & publicity, requested all the districts to send at least five representatives and bring all pending dues. The note also informed that there will be an election of new office bearers for the tenure 2011-2013.

Kohima, January 27 (MExN):
The total number of electors as per the Final Published Electoral Roll with reference to January 1, 2011 as the qualifying date is 13,38,559 (thirteen lakh thirty eight thousand five hundred fifty nine). Assistant CEO Ruokuovituo Khezhie in a press release has stated that the Final Published E-Roll w.r.t 01/01/2011 is available in the website of the Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland which can be accessed through the link ‘Electoral Roll’ in the Home Page of the website http://ceonagaland.nic.in. Further, it is to be mentioned that the website is hosted in the NIC server but the responsibility of uploading data in the website is undertaken by the Election Department.
