SASU 61st biennial conference from today

Kohima, February 3 (MExN):
The 61st biennial general conference of Southern Angami Students’ Union (SASU) will take place from February 4 at Pfüchama village under the theme “Be the difference that makes a difference.” Introductory session has been scheduled from 5:30 PM onwards on February 4 with MLA K.V. Pusa as the introductory guest. The introductory session will be marked by extempore speech, solo and duet competition.

‘Tribute Concert’ rescheduled

Dimapur, February 3 (MExN):
The ‘Tribute Concert’ to honour musicians of Nagaland like TOMAHAWK and SUFFERING SOUL will be held on March 4 at Town all, Dimapur and not as published earlier. The ‘Tribute Concert’ is organised by Fans of Tomahawk with the management of Music Channel of Dimapur Nagaland. The Chief Organiser T. Asang Jamir in a press release has express regret for the inconvenience caused.

Census 2011 Mini Marathon Run on Feb 5

Dimapur, February 3 (MExN):
Census 2011 Mini Marathon Run for the Future Dimapur Town will take place on February 5 (Saturday). The race will start at 7:00 am from Supermarket Dimapur and will culminate at DDSC Stadium. MLA Azheto Zhimomi, advisor, sericulture & cooperation will be the chief guest for the flagging off and prize distribution. This was informed by the DCs Office Dimapur.

DC Tuensang informs

Dimapur, February 3 (MExN):
In view of the selection of recognised village council chairman and members of Tuensang district, the Additional Deputy Commissioners, SDO (Civil) and EACs under Tuensang district have been informed to monitor the selection/election process of their respective jurisdictions. This was informed in a press release issued by DC Tuensang Y. L Jami, IAS.

GKD first general meeting on Feb 5

Dimapur, February 3 (MExN):
The Ghokimi Kuposhukulu Dimapur (GKD) has convened its first general meeting on February 5 at the residence of its Banker K. Kikheto Wotsa at Sematilla Colony, Dimapur from 10:00 a.m onwards. The meeting will discuss important issues relating to 2011 programme. Therefore, all the members under GKD are requested to attend the meeting without fail.

Kohima GBs informed

Kohima, February 3 (DIPR):
All concerned GBs under Kohima Sadar Administration Circle (KMC Area Kohima/Chedema/Chedema Model village) to submit the Annual House Tax for the year 2010-11 in the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima on or before the 25th February 2011, failing which Grant of Commission for House Tax and issue of Red Blanket to all erring GBs will be forfeited.                      

Medical camp at Bhandari on Feb 5

Bhandari, February 3 (DIPR):
A medical camp will be held on February 6 at local ground Bhandari town organized by 41 Assam Rifles. Major Aditya Kumar appeals to the public of Bhandari and neighbouring villages to avail the free medical facilities. The schedule time of the camp is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

NCP Longleng Div dissolve

Dimapur, February 3 (MExN):
The Longleng Division NCP Party had a meeting on January 15 where the youth wing and 50 A/C Unit ACP area units unanimously decided to dissolve in mass and merger with the NPF party. NCP Longleng former president Imliakum Phom in a press release said that the objective of the merger is to further work in unity and equanimity which is for the greater common cause of the NPF party.

Ten days meditation camp held

Dimapur, February 3 (MExN):
The Society of Dhamma Bodhe & Meditation successfully organised ten days Vipassana Meditation Gypsy camp from January 23 to February 3 at the Society’s premises under the guidance of Ananta Jena, Assistant Teacher. The course manager N. Barua in a press release stated that altogether 19 participants from NE region took part in the camp.

CUK meet on February 5

The 38th general meeting of Chang Union Kohima will be held on February 5 at Red Cross Conference Hall, Kohima at 9:00 AM. All the concerned members and Chang students of Kohima have been informed to attend the said meeting without fail.
