Transport for media on Assembly session

Dimapur, March 21 (DIPR):
The Ninth Session of the Eleventh Assembly will commence from March 22 to 29, 2011 at the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat, Kohima. In this connection, the Director of Information & Public Relations, Nagaland has informed all the media persons covering the session that transportation will be provided for every session at 8:30 a.m from Congress Bhavan, Kohima. All media persons are therefore informed to avail the facility on time on all days during Assembly session.

Enrolment of overseas electors informed

Kohima, March 21 (MExN):
The Election Commission of India had notified the facilities for enrolment of overseas electors in the electoral rolls and the same may be available in the Chief Electoral Officer’s website http:/ceo Nagaland nic.in. The concerned citizens who are abroad may avail this facility by submitting the particulars in form 6A to the concerned Electoral Registration Officer of respective district. This was stated in a release issued by J. Alam, IAS, Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland.

Free eye cataract surgery at Phek

Dimapur, March 21 (MExN):
The District Health Society (NPCB) Phek will be organizing a free cataract surgery along with I.O.L implantation eye camp at District Hospital Phek from March 28 to 31, 2011. A press note issued by Dr. Imnapokim, district nodal officer (NPCB) Phek informed that patients with eye problems are therefore asked to register their names at the District Hospital Phek and avail the free service.

Directorate of School Education informs

Dimapur, March 21 (MExN):
All the government teachers/employees under the department of School Educational are herby informed that whoever is willing to go for B.Ed/PSTE/higher Degree/Diploma/Certificate in any recognized University should obtain prior permission from the department, Nagaland Kohima without which his/her educational certificate shall not be accepted. This was informed in a press note issued by N. Khevito Sema, additional director (HoD).

Food grains to be issued from March 24

Dimapur, March 21 (MExN):
BPL food grains for the month of March 2011 and AAY and ANNAPURNA food grains for the month of February and March 2011 for Dimapur district will be issued from March 24, 2011 onwards. A press note issued by Temsu Jamir, Assistant Director of Supply, Dimapur directed beneficiaries to collect the food grains, from the Fair Price Shop, and submit the ration card at the FPS for renewal for the year 2011 to 2013. The note also stated that this is done to avoid complications and for proper maintenance of records.  

ACS visits Longchem

Dimapur, March 21 (DIPR):
Additional Chief Secretary & Commissioner, Nagaland Banuo Z. Jamir visited Longchem Administrative Headquarter on her visit to Mokokchung district on March 19, 2011. The Commissioner had interaction with the Head of Offices, public, Dobashis and Gaonboras on all Flagship programmes. Besides she held a separate meeting with officials of the area to take stock of the ground reality of the area. During her visit, the Commissioner was accompanied by administrative officials from Mokokchung and Mangkolemba.

ATMA program held at Tobu block

Dimapur, March 21 (DIPR):
Two days ATMA training and demonstration programme for the practicing farmers and farm women was held on March 18 and 19, 2011 at ATMA Farmer’s School, Mopong under Tobu Block with Dr. M.S. Sachan, SMS, DTT, Convenor of ATMA Tobu Block as the resource person. The Resource person, Dr. M.S. Sachan imparted training on Production of Low Volume and High Volume Crops and demonstrated the mulching, half moon terracing and nursery rising of vegetable crops. More than 50 (Fifty) beneficiaries from Tobu block attended the training programme.  It may be mentioned here that ATMA Farmer’s School at Mopong was inaugurated on March 15, 2011 to disseminate latest method of farming information to the farmers in the rural areas. With its inauguration in the remote corner of the state, the farmers are availing the opportunity with the new scientific system of farming in the rural sectors in the district and boost rural economy.

Renewal of Mkg trade permit

Dimapur, March 21 (DIPR):
Renewal of Trade Permit for the year 2011-12 at Mokokchung town will be carried out with effect from April 1 to May 31, 2011. Date for renewal of shops are as follows: Sungkomen & Tongdentsuyong (April 1 & 2), Alempang (April 4), Alognmen (April 5 and 6), Majakong & Ardang (April 7 & 8), Dilong    (April 11-13),  Penli (April 14 &15), Aongza (April 18th ), Sangtemla (April 19- 22), Salangtem & Kichutip (April 25 & 26), Arkong (April 27 - 29), Kumlong & Yimyu (May 4 & 5), Mongsenbai, Marepkong & Lijaba (May 6 and 9) and Outside Mohul (May 10- 13). Date for renewal under MMC Market buildings are as follows: Block-B (May 2 - 4), Salangtem Market (May 5 – 10), OTH (May 11– 17), Basement- Footwear, Second Hand & R/G Khadi (May 18– 24), New Building (May 25– 30) and Cobbler (May 31). Further all tenants are informed to deposit security for two months.
 
Three Congress leaders join NPF

Dimapur, March 21 (MExN):
Congress leaders Hokuto Jakhalu, vice-president (elect) DCC. Zunheboto, Hekhushe Shikhu, member DCC, Zunheboto and Aheto V. Yepthomi, vie-president, DCC, Zunheboto informs that they have taken decision and resigned from the Congress party to support and strengthen DAN government under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, and G. Kaito Aye, Minster Roads & Bridges, and Shetoyi Yeptho, MLA & chairman, NHHDC. A press note issued by the aforesaid Congress leaders said that they have also taken this decision in appreciation of all round development and achievement of DAN government and its policies and programmes for its people.
Meanwhile, a press note issued by Nikheto Zhimomi, president and P. Kiyelu Awomi, general secretary, ADM stated that the party wholeheartedly welcome the resigned members in to the NPF folds. “Through the tireless effort of the minister PWD (R&B) and the MLA and Chairman NHHDC Shetoyi Yepthomi, the mentioned party leaders has resigned to support the clean governance of the NPF led DAN government under the charismatic leadership of the Chief minister Neiphiu Rio and Dr. Shurhozelie, the president NPF. Hence, a follow-up proper divisional programme shall be organized to felicitate the former congress members,” the note stated.
