ANSTGA informs

Dimapur, March 29 (MExN):
The All Nagaland Small Tea Growers Association (ANSTGA) on March 29, held an emergency meeting at its Head Office Dimapur for some urgent mater relating to pending issue with Tea Board of India. The meeting deliberated on opposing the release of subsidy based on unreliable and biased G.P.S survey conducted by Tea Board without government approved Surveyor.  A press note issued by D Hukiye Kibami, president and I Imi Yaden, general secretary ANSTGA informs that the ANSTGA unanimously passed the following resolutions: to oppose GPS survey done by Tea Board with unskilled associates, to seek legal remedy from the competent court of law against release of subsidy despite opposition to raise fund for emergency which shall be Rs. 200 per grower, which shall be collected by the concern department District Presidents and Secretaries. The note also mentioned that Er. Piokuto Shohe was inducted as executive member of ANSTGA.

ZBK meet

Kohima, March 29 (MExN):
The Zeliangrong Boudi Kohima will have an emergency meeting on April 2 at the residence of its president at Bayavü Kohima at 10:00 am. All executives of Zeliangrong Boudi Kohima have been requested to attend the meeting positively.

Longleng DPDB meet postponed

Dimapur, March 29 (MExN): It is herby notified to all the members that the Longleng DPDB meeting for the month of April 2011 will be held on April 7 instead of April 6 because of Phom Monyu festival. A press note issued by C.K Nihekhu Sema, Deputy Commissioner, Longleng informed that time and venue remain the same and requested all the members to be present positively.

Peren Medical Board on April 7

Dimapur, March 29 (MExN):
All the Departments in Peren district are informed that the next District Medical Board is scheduled to be held on April 7, 2011 at 10:00 am in the office chamber of the Chief Medical Officer, Peren. Therefore, all Departments who have candidates for confirmation of service, invalidation of Pension, commutation of pension etc for Grade III & IV employees may be asked to submit the list atheist by April 5, 2011 addressed to Dr. L Kuotsu, Chief Medical Officer, Peren for necessary action.

DEF football tournament

Dimapur, March 29 (DIPR):
The inauguration of the newly constructed football ground and opening ceremony of Inter Coy’s and Police stations football tournament of DEF Kohima will be held on April 1, 2011 at 8 a.m at New Police Reserve, Phesama. MLA and Chairman NKVIB & Advisor MTF, Dr. Nicky Kire will be the chief guest on the occasion. According to the programme, the function will be chaired by SP Kohima, Rothihu Tetseo while vote of thanks will be delivered by Additional SP, Kohima, T. Metha. Special number will be presented by New Reserve Youth Organisation, Phesama and Self Help Group, New Reserve, Phesama.
                        
KUC informs on Aoleang Festival

Dimapur, March 29 (MExN):
The Konyak Tribe celebrates Aoleang festival every year from April 1 to 6, therefore, the Konyak Union Chumukedima (KUC) requests all the Head of Department Institution, both Government and Private to kindly grant restricted holiday to all its members so as to enable them to participate in the festival. A press note issued by Y. Wangyim Konyak, press and information secretary KUC informs that the union will celebrate the forthcoming Aoleang Festival commencing on April, 1 2011 at the residence of the Union Treasure C. Chingkap Konyak, near Agape School Chumukedima. Hence, all the concerned members of the union and relative of the Konyak Tribe are also requested to attend the Aoleang Festival.

DFES informs

Kohima, March 29 (MExN): The Directorate of Fire &Emergency Services requested all concerned to nominate only two representatives with authority letter to attend demonstration and training on handling of fire extinguisher on their allotted date with effect from April 5 to 12 at Kohima Local Ground.

TASDU appeals to DSE

Dimapur, March 29 (MExN): The Tobu Area Students’ Union (TASU) expresses dismay at the shortage of graduate teachers faced by Government High School, Tobu. A press note issued by TASU stated that despite repeated appeals, the concerned authorities have turned a deaf ear. TASU said that it cannot be a mere spectator to watch Tobu High School being run by only five teachers with neither Headmaster not its Assistant Headmaster. The note further informed that coverage of syllabus in time is unthinkable and that proper education is non-reachable to the students as the School has below minimum required number of teachers.
TASU, therefore, has urged the Director of School Education to redeem Government High School from starvation by meting the needs of minimum required number of teachers at the earliest. 

Grant in Aid for Private Schools

Dimapur, March 29 (DIPR):
ADC Planning and Member Secretary, Kohima DPDB, Ketoho Luho has notified to all concern with particular attention to the authorities of Private Schools in Kohima district that the date for submission of applications for Grant-in-Aid duly recommended by DPDB is fixed by Directorate of School Education as June 30, 2011. The DPDB Kohima shall receive and recommend the applications as per the schedule given below: March to April-issue of forms by Directorate of School Education, May- submission of duly filled up form by DEO/DIS, scrutiny and inspection of Schools by DEO/DIS, June- scrutiny and recommendation by DPDB Screening Committee, approval of the DPDB, and submission of approved application to Directorate of School Education. This information is being made to all concerned by the Kohima DPDB so as not to deprive any deserving schools. Interested schools may note this schedule and apply through their respective DEO/DIS. Henceforth, application submitted to the Board after the expiring of this date shall not be entertained at any cost.
