NHAK doctors observe ‘flash strike’

Kohima, April 11 (MExN):
In protest against the attempted robbery and intimidation at the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare on the 8th of April 2011, the Doctors of Naga Hospital Authority Kohima observed as ‘flash strike’ where the Routine OPD services were suspended on the 11th April. However in order not to inconvenience the patients, routine indoor and Emergency Outdoor Services functioned normally. Inconvenience caused to the patients is deeply regretted. This was stated in a press release given by Dr. Thorsie Katiry, on behalf of the working Doctors of NHAK.

Association of Power Engineers condemns

Dimapur, April 11 (MExN):
The Association of Power Engineers, Nagaland has condemned the recent threat by armed persons in the Directorate of Medical and Health Services. The Association President, Er. Khose Sale in a condemnation note stated that “it is a matter of common experience in most offices, that armed miscreants regularly demand extortion and threaten officers to do their biddings. Such actions have a profound negative impact upon the morale and functioning of the officers and staffs concerned.” The Association also expressed their support and solidarity with the Department in demanding the identification and arrest of such anti social elements in the larger interest of the society.

Indian Medical Association condemns

Dimapur, April 11 (MExN):
The Indian Medical Association, Nagaland State Branch in solidarity with the officers and staff of the principal director, health & family welfare department, Nagaland, Nagaland in service doctors association and the directorate ministerial staff association condemn in the strongest terms the ‘attempted robbery at H&FW office’ on April 8. The Association in a press release issued by State president Dr. Temsu Jamir has also wished the concerned officer (s)/ staff (s) speedy recovery from the traumatic experience and agony and expect prompt apprehension of the culprits by the authorities.

ANSTA Phek meeting on April 19

Kohima, April 11 (MExN):
The All Nagaland School Teachers Association has informed all the executives and Sub Unit President(s) of ANSTA Phek, Nagaland that there will be a meeting at LCS Building Midland colony, Kohima (near Ao church) on April 19 at 10:30am. Hence, all the concerned members are requested to avoid fixing of other meetings on the said scheduled date and make it convenient to attend the meeting in person.

Chümukedima Village Council informs

Dimapur, April 11 (MExN):
The Chümukedima Village Council has informed all the public living in the jurisdiction of the village that the VCM has made a resolution on February 24 that all plantations should be removed from the vicinity of inhabited area on or before April 30. The village council in a press release said that failing to abide by this resolution the council will take its own course of action.   

CTC 36th graduation ceremony

Mokokchung, April 11 (DIPR):
The 36 Graduation Ceremony of Clark Theological College Mokokchung will be held on April 15 at the College Campus where Rev. Dr. Roger Gaikwad, General Secretary NCCI, Nagpur and Deo Nukhu Advisor Art & Culture, S&T and NRE, Nagaland will be the speaker and the guest of honor respectively.

CTC notifies

Dimapur, April 11 (MExN):
The Chümukedima Town Council (CTC), in continuation to its earlier notification in regard to prior permission/renewal of permit for hoardings/erection of bill boards/advertisements, has reminded all departments, organisations, agencies etc that inspite of earlier notification many concerned has failed to obtain and renew their permit. The CTCT in a notification issued by its chief advisor Thepfulhoutuo Shuya stated that the same is mandatory as per Nagaland Municipal Act, 2001. Therefore, all concerned are once again asked to do the needful within 7 (seven) days from the date of issue of this notification without fail, failing which the Chumikedima Town Council will be compelled to take its own course of action as ‘per the provision on law, deem and proper.’

KBBT Kohima sports ministry

Kohima, April 11 (MExN):
The Konyak Baptist Bumeinok Tangshim (KBBT) Kohima will be organizing a sports ministry on April 16 at 16th Assam Rifle Ground Kohima under the theme ‘Towards New Horizon’. KBBTK President Jeiang in a press release has requested all the Konyak youths to reach the venue by 8:00 am. Registration and Group division will be from 8:30am to 9:00am.

Meeting postponed

Kohima, April 11 (MExN):
The All Nagaland PWD (R&B) & (H) Workcharge Employees Association has informed all the VRS left out applicants under NPWD (R&B)&(H) that the proposed meeting to be held on April 15, 2011 has been postponed. Therefore all are to take note of the postponement.

Sukhalu Ghami jubilee from April 15

Kohima, April 11 (MExN):
The Sukhalu Ghami ‘Year of Platinum Jubilee April 2010- April 2011’ summit will be held from April 15 to 17. All participants especially in laws are invited to come and receive the blessings of the church, as per programme: 15th April 16:00hrs. Inaugural; 16th-17th April 2011 9:00hrs and 16:00 services. This was informed in a press release issued by Hekuto, Chairman, Planning Board &VC, Sukhalu, Zunheboto.

Vaccination programme at Zbto

Zunheboto, April 11 (MExN):
The District Veterinary Officer Zunheboto lead by Dr. James A.V.S and team conducted vaccination programme on domesticated animals on April 11 at Sukhalu village Zunheboto. A press note issued by Hekuto, Chairman Village Council, Sukhalu, Zunheboto stated that the villagers learnt the importance of Zoonosis especially rabies and Helmenthiasis. The programme was co-ordinated by MNGO-NRHM Zunheboto.
