2nd IATA Northeast Conference 2011

Dimapur, April 12 (MExN):
The 2nd IATA Northeast Conference 2011 will be held at NLBC, Purana Bazar on April 18 with participation from 17 colleges (accredited and member) in the whole northeast India. IATA National Director, Rev. Dr. S Gangte has informed in a press note that the guest speaker will be Dr. James Thomas, vice chancellor, D. Y Patil University, Mumbai and Dr. Stalin K Thomas, International Director, IATA Kolkata. All the intending colleges and delegates are requested to each the venue by 9.30 am. ANPSA informs

Kohima, April 12 (MExN):
The private school in its general meeting on April 8 last, has decided to abide by the SCERT notification (dated December 3, 2010) which stated that there will be no board examination for Class 8. Stating this in a release, the All Nagaland Private Schools Association (ANPSA) informed that all the member schools should therefore abide by this decision and not pay the examination fees for ESL 2011. However the other particulars mentioned may be furnished as demanded.

Open air worship

Kohima, April 12 (MExN):
The Charis School of Worship is organizing open air worship programme on April 14 at 5:00 PM at Science College junction, Jotsoma. A graduation day will also take place on April 16.

ATC East Dimapur informs

Dimapur, April 12 (MExN):
The Ad Hoc Town Council East Dimapur will conduct a checking of trade licence of all the business establishments and shops within its jurisdiction on April 16. The council chairman, Vihoshe Awomi in a press release has informed that any kind of business without valid permit or licence under the ATC jurisdiction will be impose a fine of rupees 500 and non-renewal of trade licence will be impose a fine of rupees 300 on the spot.

DEO Phek notifies

Phek, April 12 (DIPR):
The District Education Office, Phek has notified that the Oral Interview for Primary Teachers under Phek District will be conducted on April 15 at 11 a.m. in the office of District Education Officer, Phek. Further it is also informed to all candidates who have qualified in the written examination should produce all original certificates of HSLC and above along with the admit card at the time of interview.

Khezhakeno village council condemn

Kohima, April 12 (MExN):
Khezhakeno Village council strongly condemned the Tonjoy villagers who burned down the herbal garden at Lohwo. Condemning the act of the Tonjoy villagers, Lhoupenyi V.C.C secretary and Solhou Ritse, Khezhakeno Village council in a press note mentioned that the garden was burned completely twice on 11 February and 24 March which is an offence by the Chakhesang Public Organization as well as Nagaland government. The damage caused a worth of several lacks of rupees that affect the economy of the village severely. “We totally condemn the person who burned the garden intensively and warned to take action”. It also stated Khezhakeno village council also requested the concerned government department for verification of the garden and the government to take further necessary action.
