NSF office informs

Kohima, April 19 (MExN):
The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has informed all the official council and members of the Organising Committee of 24th general conference to report to the NSF office at 6:00 am on April 20 for official visit to the conference venue at Pfutsero Town. NSF general secretary O. Wati Jamir in a press release has requested all concerned members to assemble without fail.

Aghunato Area Dimapur programme on April 24

Congress members resign

Dimapur, April 19 (MExN):
On April 16, Y. Tsipithong, Chairman Kiphire Village Council, Vice President ACC(I) and stand-by of R. L Akamba Congress candidate and Tsipikyu, Hd GB of Kiphire Village Council and executive member DCC(I) Kiphire has declared to resign from active and primary membership of 60 ACC(I) and DCC(I). While informing this in a press release, KVC chairman and Head GB stated that they have strongly resolved to join the mainstream party of NPF to support T. Torechu, Parliamentary Secretary, CAWD.

Crusade in Tuensang town concludes

Dimapur, April 19 (MExN):
The recently concluded Tuensang Town Church Penetration Crusade (15th-17th April 2011), with the theme “Build on the Rock” was held in 18 churches with the same number of speakers from around Nagaland. Tuensang IEF Unit Chairman S. Meren Sangtam in a press release said that the programme was indeed a time of profound blessing for the people in Tuensang Town. The crusade was organized by the International Evangelistic Fellowship (IEF) Tuensang Unit & Pastor’s Union, Tuensang. Kijong Chang, MLA, Advisor of VG & DB’S Organization, Nagaland, sponsored the crusade.

DEO and RO Mkg call meeting
 
Mokokchung, April 19 (DIPR):
District Election Officer and Returning Officer Mokokchung, Lithrongla G. Chishi will have a meeting with Recognized National/State Political Parties, the Contesting Candidate and Election Agent of 26-Aonglenden Assembly Constituency on April 221 at 2.00 PM at DCs Conference Hall. The meeting is being called to discuss matters in connection with the Maintenance of Accounts of Election Expenditure by the candidate. Lithrongla also requested all the concern to attend the said meeting positively.

Farmers informed on exposure tour

Dimapur, April 19 (MExN):  All the farmers who have been selected to an Exposure Tour to Shillong, Meghalaya from April 26 under Agriculture Extension/ Publicity are requested to report at night service bus station Dimapur (Eros Lane) on April 26 at 2:30 pm positively without fail or to contact tour in-charge Zieleigai Ndang SDAO Tenning, P/No. 9436803842. This was informed in a press release issued by A. Y Ovung, Director of Agriculture, Kohima.

Komul tonned milk price increased

Kohima, April 19 (MExN):
The Nagaland State Dairy Co-operative Federation Ltd notified all concerned that due to cost escalation of raw materials, commodities, transport charges etc, the management has compelled to increase the price of Komul Tonned Milk from Rs. 28 to Rs. 30 per liter in polypouch. Half liter pouch will cost at Rs. 16 with effect from Ist May 2011. The managing director Dr. L.S. Moses requested all valued customers to bear with the same for the unavoidable cost enhancement.

Mon DPDB meeting on April 26

Mon, April 19 (DIPR):
The Assistant Development Commissioner (Planning), Mon has informed all the members of the Mon District Planning & Development Board that the monthly DPDB Meeting for the month of April 2011 would be held on April 26 at DC’s conference hall at 11.00 AM. All the members are requested to attend to meeting positively.

PFC to distribute ‘Azo seed’

Phek, April 19 (MExN):
The Phek Farmers’ Club (PFC) in its executive meeting has decided to launch free distribution of “Azo Seed” to the four selected neighbouring villages from the second week of April 2011 as part of promoting the seed. According to PFC Chief Advisor, Thuputhiyi S.Venuh, the launching program was aim of building up the competitiveness spirit in the minds of the people of the area. Free distribution of seeds to the farmers shall carry under a condition of bringing the harvested seeds during Independence Day, August 15, 2012 for competition exhibition. Seeking the tireless cooperation of the farming community to participate in the launching drive, the PFC further sought ‘constructive measures’ from all corners, either in written or verbal.

YTC executive council meeting postponed

Dimapur, April 19 (MExN): 
An executive council meeting of Yimchungru Tribal Council   which was scheduled to be held on April 26 at sub- headquarters Pungro has been postponed till further order. The Yimchungru Tribal Council has stated that, an executive council meeting has been postponed owing to the time constraint.
