DMC meeting postponed
Dimapur, May 13 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council, chief advisor has informed that due to some unavoidable circumstances, the coordination meeting scheduled on May 13 at 11:00 am has been postponed to may 24 at 11:00 am in the chamber of Market rate Control Cell, DMC. All the hardware dealers under DMC jurisdiction are requested to make it convenient to attend the meeting without fail.
NNP+ to observe International AIDS Candlelight Memorial Service
Kohima, May 13 (MExN): Network of Naga people Living with HIV/AIDS (NNP+) will observe International AIDS Candlelight Memorial Service in collaboration with NGOs on 15 May in Kohima under the theme “Touching Lives”, with Mrs Kaisa Rio, President Nagaland Voluntary Association (NWVA) as the chief guest.
NERSNA to felicitate students
Kohima, May 13 (MExN): The North Eastern Region Service Nepali Association (NERSNA) Kohima organizes a felicitation programme in honour of all the successful candidates Nepali/Gorkha students of HSLC & HSSLC 2011 on 15 May at 11.00 am at Durgabari Hall PWD colony Kohima with Wing commander Rajeev Dong, deputy Director, Rayja Sainik Board Kohima as the chief guest and Mrs Emii Domg and R.K Deb General secretary Durgaari as distinguished guest respectively. Organizing secretary OM Bahadur Karki, in a press release has requested all the successful candidates to submit a copy of admit card and mark-sheet on or before 13th May. NSDU 18th general meeting on 28th May.

Remote villages electrified under Peren district
Kohima, May 13 (MExN): Under Remote village Electrification (RVE) programme, the Department of New & Renewable Energy Nagaland Kohima have electrified eight remote un-electrified villages under Peren district namely: Sailhem village, Phaikholum village, New Soget village, Old Soget village, Songngou Village, Lower Sinjol ‘A’ Village, Khelma village and Songsang village. Director New & Renewable Energy in a press release stated that maintenance of the systems will be undertaken by the department in collaboration with respective village Energy management Board for the next five years. It added that the project was successfully commissioned on 14th March 2011. Meanwhile the director invites any other remote un-electrify village/hamlets who wishes to avail RVE scheme to submit the list of village to this office.

NEZCC to organise Festival of Art on May 27 and 28
Dimapur, May 13 (MExN): All the government and private schools and colleges are informed that the united tribal society with sponsorship from the ministry of culture and directorate of Art and Culture, government of Nagaland and logistic support from NEZCC will be organising Festival of Art to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore on May 27 and 28 at Dimapur. The forms are available for free on the website www.dire.in.
Activities such as cultural competition, essay writing, drawing competition and extempore competition, films/documentaries on Rabindranath Tagore, choir competition and message competition will be held during the event. Interested schools may participate in the commemoration on account of 150th Birth Anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. This was informed in a press release issued by DEO Dimapur Asono Ndang.
