DSSU joint meeting on May 20
Dimapur, May 19 (MExN): The Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union (DSSU) has convened a joint meeting on May 20 at 10:30 am at its Union Banker at Notun Basti. DSSU in a press release stated that the meeting will discuss the 36th DSSU general conference. Therefore, the Union has requested to all unit president and the representatives of various colony/sector and the colleges of the Union are informed to attend the meeting positively.
Inland water transport wing constituted
Kohima, May 19 (DIPR): In pursuance of the decision taken by the Inland Water Transport, North Eastern Region in the 59th NEC planery, the Governor of Nagaland has constituted Inland Water Transport Wing in the Transport Department. The following members have been assigned to co-ordinate matters with IWAI for timely preparation, clearance and execution of IWT Projects sanctioned under the central sector scheme by the Ministry of Shipping, Government of India: N. Hangsing, Secretary (TPT) – Chairman; Pekrusetuo, G.M. NST - Member Secretary; T. Vero Dy. Secretary TPT Deptt – member; Er. Akuto E.E, NST – member.
Public Undertaking Committee meet on May 25
Kohima, May 19 (MExN): The first meeting of Public Undertaking Committee under the chairmanship of MLA, Vikho-o Yoshu has been convened on May 25 at 11.00 am at Assembly Secretariat Committee Room to take stock of unfinished work and also to chalk out the work programme for 2011-12 for which the flash message have been transmitted on 16 May vide Memo no AS/COPU-18/2006/2572 dated 16.5.2011. A press note issued by Joint secretary K.Sekhose has requested all the concerned members of the committee to make it convenient to attend the meeting on the date ad time as aforesaid.
Muslim Council to felicitate students
Dimapur, May 19 (MExN): The Muslim Council Dimapur has informed in a press note that it will felicitate Muslim students who have secured 60% marks in the HSLC and HSSLC examination 2011. The council has directed the students who have secured 605 and above to submit their mark sheet along with their address and contact number before May 31. The students may submit the documents at Good Luck Medical, near SBI Bazar Branch, GS Road, Dimapur (Mob 9436831691). The council will inform the students regarding the date and venue of the programme.
NPF Mon Division clarifies
Dimapur, May 19 (MExN): The NPF Mon Division informs that it conducted a meeting on May18, as per the release issued on a local daily by Longwa village 44 A/c Phomching president on May 4, 2011. A rejoinder issued by general secretary NPF Divisional Mon stated that the meet was held in the presence of Mon Divisional office bearers along with 44A/C office bearers, Longwa Village NPF Unit, Nokkam, president Longwa village NPF and Longshah president youth wing 44 A/c Phomching. “The 44AC unit and the Longwa NPF unit agreed and apologized in presence of Mon Divisional NPF. The issue was a misunderstanding among the party, however, both the party compromised and solved the matter positively,” stated the note.
Photography and farm journalism training at Mkg
Mokokchung, May 19 (DIPR): A two-day training on Photography and Farm Journalism is underway at DAO’s Conference Room, Mokokchung from today, the 19th May 2011. The training is being organized by Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Mokokchung to help promote photographers to do their job in a professional manner. Participants from different departments and Block level in the District are attending the training. Two Photographers from DPRO Mokokchung are also attending the training. The training is being imparted by Diman Sharma and Gautam Bordoloi, both from Assam Agriculture University, Jorhat. The training includes both theory and practical classes.
WSH felicitation prog on May 22
Dimapur, May 19 (MExN): The Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) will be organising a felicitation programme for all Sumi HSLC and HSSLC toppers 2011 at Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church on May 22 at 10:00 am. WSH general secretary Vikato Shikhu in a press release has requested all executive members, the toppers and their parents to attend the programme without fail. The HSLC toppers are Jenkali Phucho (Topper 7-A), Kihikali Zhimomi (Topper 20), Ngukatoli (Topper 29-A), Shto Sumi (Topper 29-E), Vivi Swu (Topper 35-A) and Shenaholi Yeptho (Topper 46-B). The HSSLC Science topper are Althea S. Wotsa (Topper 6-A) and Hekeno K. Yeptho (Topper 6-B).
