TTV council dissolved

Dimapur, May 21 (MExN):
The Toulazou Tenyimi Village (TTV) had a general meeting on May 21 at Primary School Complex. The meeting was necessitated and convened due to the resignation tendered by the chairman of the village council and en-mass resignation by the youth office bearers. This was stated in a press release appended by TTV GB & Seasonal Chairman Zhakulie Venuh and seasonal secretary Abel Tureng.  The meeting thoroughly deliberated on the weaknesses of the village management body in various filed in the past few years and suggested different opinion for the betterment of the village. After thorough discussion, the house unanimously agreed for complete dissolution of village council and other village management body and empowered the government appointed GB’s to re-constitute a new council in a democratic manner. Altogether 314 citizens were present and appended signature in the meeting.

DC Phek informs

Dimapur, May 21 (MExN):
In reference to Deputy Commissioner, Phek office Advertisement No. ESTT/DLRB/ 2010 dated 21/04/2011 screening test/ interview for appointment to the post of D.B Grade-II will be conducted on May 31 in the DPDB Conference Hall. Therefore,the DC in a press release informs all the candidates informed to submit 2 copies of passport photo and collect their Admit Card from May 26 to 30. Rejected/ Underage candidates name are displayed in the office Notice Board for information.

Estimate Committee meeting on May 23

Dimapur, May 21 (MExN):
The Estimate Committee members are informed that the first meeting of the committee will be held on May 23 at 11:00 am in the assembly committee room, Kohima. The meeting has been called to check the works and to chalk out the works programme for the year 2011-12 of the Estimate Committee. Members are requested to attend the meeting positively. The Estimate Committee includes Deo Nukhu, MLA as Chairman and members are Shetoyi Sumi, MLA, Vikho-O Yhoshu, MLA, C. Kipili Sangtam, MLA, Dr. Neikesalie Nicky Kire, NMLA, I Imkong, MLA, Chingwang Konyak, MLA, . Chuba Chang, MLA and Kongam, MLA.

Governor to grace Tagore celebrations

Dimapur, May 21 (MExN):
Governor of Nagaland Nikhil Kumar will grace the inaugural programme of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore on May 27 at 10:30 a.m. at NEZCC complex Dimapur. The celebrations will be observed on May 27-28 at Dimapur and June 4 at Kohima under the theme ‘Festival of Arts.’ Noel Manuel, a renowned poet, writer and coordinator of the event will host the show on behalf of the United Tribal Society. Several prominent Rabindra Sangeet dance troupes and singing groups will perform at the opening function.

Guidance library for students

Kohima, May 21 (MExN):
A press note issued by Zubemo Lotha, T.A Rural Employment Bureau, Peren has informed all students of various schools and colleges in Peren district that a mini vocational-cum-career guidance library had been established in the office of the Rural Employment Bureau, Peren. This library was established with a view to let students get first hand information on various multiple vocations and careers, to let them plan and get themselves equip for their future career after schooling, college or university courses are over. The library will remain open on all working days for one and everyone is requested to avail this facility.

Hindu Bengali Community meeting on May 27

Dimapur, May 21 (MExN):
A general meeting of the Hindu Bengali Community will be held on May 27 at 5:00 pm in the MICE Conference Hall, near Holy Cross point. Hindu Bengali Community convenor Timir Choudhury in a notice informed that the meeting will discuss matters concerning the community development works and also constitute a body to see the overall activities of our community. All Hindu Bengali residents of Dimapur town are requested to attend the said meeting positively.
