Aheto elected as member of PCC
Dimapur, May 25 (MExN): Aheto V. Yepthomi, has been elected as member of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), 3 Dimapur-III. A press note issued by Vinisienuo, Assistant Returning Officer, 3 Dimapur-III A/c stated that the organizational election was held on May 25 as per the directive from the AICC and NPCC.
‘Candidates of entrepreneur’ informed
Dimapur, May 25 (MExN): All the selected candidates of entrepreneur from Phek district, under “Year of Entrepreneur” are informed that there will be a meeting at Chakhesang Baptist Church, Ketsubuzuo, Kohima on May 28 (Saturday) at 03:30pm. CTC notifies
Dimapur, May 25 (MExN): The Chumukedima Town Council in continuation to its earlier notification has prohibited any kind of business by petty vendors (vegetables/fish/chana, pakora etc) within the perimeter of CTC reserved land along the stretch of National Highway and collection of illegal taxes by land owners/union. CTC chief advisor in a press release has once again reminded to all the vendors, land owners and unions to desist from all such act with immediate effect from the date of issue of this notice.
Festival of Arts programme inauguration on May 27
Dimapur, May 25 (MExN): The inaugural function of a two-day ‘Festival of Arts’ a programme to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore will be held in NEZCC premises on May 27 at 10.30 a.m. in collaboration with the United Tribal Society, Dimapur. Nikhil Kumar, Governor of Nagaland will be the chief guest in the inaugural function. This was informed in a press release issued by NEZCC Director, Som Kamei.
KLRSU inform govt employees
Dimapur, May 25 (MExN): The Kyong Lower Range Students’ Union (KLRSU) held its executive meeting on May 6 at its office premises and after a prolong deliberation, the union resolved to conduct a checking to the entire department and government employees posted under Bhandari jurisdiction. The KLRSU president Lipemo Tsopoe in a press release has therefore, requested all the concerned head of the department and government employees to be in station latest by 1st week of June, 2011. Failing which the union will take any course of action, the release further added.
Rio Community Hall Chiechama
Kohima, May 25 (MExN): Minister for planning and co-ordination, veterinary and animal husbandry, parliamentary affairs and evaluation T.R. Zeliang will inaugurate Rio Community Hall Chiechama on May 27 at 10:00 AM at Chiecha Basa.
Second training of BLO’s in Kohima
Kohima, May 25 (DIPR): The second training of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in Kohima town and near by villages shall be held on May 27 (Friday) in the DC’s Conference Hall Kohima at 11 a.m. Side by side, materials and monitoring registers, cameras with chips etc shall be issued. Similar training and materials will be issued for all the BLOs of 12-Tseminyu A/C in the office of the ADC Tseminyu on 30th May 2011 (Monday) at 11 a.m. Therefore all the BLOs have been directed to attend the trainings respectively. ADC & Electoral Registration Officer, Kohima, Alun Hansing has stated in a press release that negligence by any one shall attract serious action.

Kohima, May 25 (DIPR): All the members of the Traffic Committee, DPDB Kohima have been informed that then third meeting of the committee is scheduled to be held on May 27 at 11 a.m. in the office chamber of the Deputy Commissioner Kohima. The meeting will be held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Beiu Angami and in this context the ADC (Planning) and Member Secretary DPDB, Ketoho Luho has requested the concerned officers to attend the meeting positively - ADC Kohima, SP Kohima, RTO Kohima, DPRO Kohima, President APO and President KCC.
