Eco friendly craft making competition
Kohima, May 28 (MExN): In a bid to promote and encourage the usage of eco-friendly products, the Eco Club of Alder College, Kohima is organizing an Eco Friendly Craft Making Competition on June 4 at the College Auditorium in commemoration with the World Environment Day. The competition duration will be three hours from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Crafts will be on small scale like flower vase, soap case/pen stand etc. Last date of form submission will be May 31. The prize money stands at Rs. 5000 (Ist), Rs. 3000 (2nd) and Rs. 2000 (3rd). Judges for the competition include: Sovetso Vero, additional director (Dev), Department of Industries & Commerce, Alem Longkumer, team member Nagaland Bamboo Mission and Lanu Pongen, freelance sculptor.
Excise dept conducts surprise raid
Kohima, May 28 (MExN): The excise department under the Superintendent of Excise Phek conducted a surprise raid under Pfutsero area on May 26 headed by H, Berimong, inspector of excise Pfutsero along with Neizizolie Inspector of excise Phek along with Khriesizo H/C Phek, P.F. Marak H/C Meluri, Mesewe, Vedeto, Kiyakhrielie and Chinge. The raiding party seized 108 bottles of IMFL and the accused persons were booked under the relevant section of NLTP Act. The department further informed that such raid would be conducted very often. This was stated in a release issued by N. Nuh Chakhesang, Superintendent of excise & prohibition, Phek.

Dimapur, May 28 (MExN): All Churches/Association are informed that this is the last information for VBS Leadership/Teachers Training. Interested persons are requested to contact at: 9874184453, 9436432291, as early as possible. Also it is informed that fees for registration fee has been revised to Rs. 200 only and fooding and lodging charge to Rs. 1,300, and all total Rs. 1,500 only per head. All the trainees are requested to come in time at 11:00 am sharp. This was informed in a press note issued by H. Hammei Buchemhu, VBS Director, NLN, NEI Dimapur.
