PMEGP forms for Peren
Dimapur, June 1 (MExN): All PMEGP interested applicants of Peren District are informed that PMEGP forms for 2011-12 will be issued on June 2 and 3. Candidates are to bring two (2) numbers of passport size photos for availing the form. Forms will be made available at District Industries Centre (DIC) Peren during office hour. This was informed in a press release issued by DIC, Peren Functional Manager P. Tokugha Achumi.

Kohima, June 1 (DIPR): Phom Union Kohima is celebrating its “59th Phom Day” on June 6 at Kohima Phom Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. In the programme B. Chingmei General Secretary PUK will chair the programme while invocation prayer will be given by Deacon KPBC, S. Paushen. President PUK, C. Danted will deliver the welcome address and special number will be presented by Phom Students Union Kohima. Significant of Phom Day will be delivered by Dr. M.C. Longai Medical Officer, Nagaland Hospital Authority Kohima and Benediction will be pronounced by Rev. Phomlee Van Pastor KPBC. The Union has therefore requested all the Phom people of Kohima to attend the function.

“Faces of culture through the stages”
Kohima, June 1 (MExN): The state’s department of art & culture in collaboration with NEZCC Dimapur is organizing a one day theatre programme billed as “Faces of cultural through the stages” on June 4 at Chuchuyimpang Village Panchayat Hall in Mokokchung district at 10: 00 AM. Theatre artistes from Mokokchung district will be presenting different plays at the programme. The programme will be graced by Lendinokdang, President Ao Senden, Mokokchung. This was stated in a release issued by Vikheshe, deputy director, art & culture.
KWSK annual general meeting held
Kohima, June 1 (MExN): The annual general meeting of Khrimtomi Welfare Society Kohima (KWSK) was held on May 28 last at the residence of Toniho Chisho, former chairman of KWSK. The meeting has elected new team of office bearers for the tenure 2011-15. Chairman- Hutovi Chisho, general secretary – Shikuto. N, convenor- Shivehe Swu and Toniho Chisho, Kivito Yeptho and Kohovi Chisho as auditoral board. Meanwhile, the newly elected office bearers requested KWSK members to submit yearly membership fee latest by July to the executive body.
Foundation stone of Pungro PS laid
Kiphire, June 1 (DIPR): DGP Nagaland, K. Kire IPS laid the foundation stone of Pungro Police Station under Kiphire district on May 20 under the chairmanship of John Tsulise Sangtam SDO (C) Pungro. Speaking to the general public, the DGP said that the Police Station is for the Pungro public and called for full support and cooperation for the smooth functioning of the department. He also thanked the public of Pungro for the warm reception accorded to him. In the programme, welcome address was delivered by DIGP (Range) Mokokchung, Akum Yimchunger IPS and vote of thanks was proposed by SP Kiphire, Aotemsu NPS.

Dimapur, June 1 (MExN): An emergency meeting of the Industrial Village Razhüphe Council will be held on June 2 at 8:00 am at the village council hall to discuss about the elector photography operation to be held from June 7 to 12. The council secretary Keneingulie in a press release has requested all the members of VDB, Vigilance Committee, advisory board, mother’s unit and VCMs to attend the meeting without fail.

Dimapur, June 1 (MExN): A two day IPC Campaign, sponsored by the state run NSACS, concluded in Zunheboto on May 19 & 20, 2011 organised by the Sumi Totimi Hoho (STH) in its office. A press note issued by Faustina Arkha, press secretary, STH stated that according to the Apex General Secretary Kaholi.V. Achumi the theme for the campaign, “What is HIV & AIDS?” was highlighted by Bekinto N.Swu, Salvatus Christian Society and Bewotoli Jimo, Salvatus Christian Society who had given out a lot of information. The campaign was attended by the STH executives, representatives from 25 different villages and also Paul representing the NSACS.
Merhülietsa Panchayat Informs
KOHIMA, June 1 (MExN): The Merhülietsa Panchayat Chairman has informed all its colony members that the time scheduled for taking photographs of the electors with digital cameras for preparation of Photo Electoral Rolls will be held on June 6, 2011 for Para Medical Upper and June 7, 2011 for Para Medical Lower respectively at Civil Surgeon (CS Office). It has further informed all concerned not to miss the photo session.

Dimapur, June 1 (MExN): The Seyochung Area NPF party has welcomed David Tingchum Sangtam, secretary NPCC and Vigilance NPCC Tsapio Sangtam former district convenor BJP and Lithrongse Sangtam active member of 59 ACCC who recently resigned from the party and joined NPF. The area president Ahokhe Yeptho in a press release while welcoming them expressed hope that their joining the party will strengthen the party in uplifting the all round development in the district.

Kohima, June 1 (MExN): The Phek District NCSU in its meeting held here today at Hotel Fira has unanimously decided to open its union office at Phek on June 10. In this connection, all registered members of NCSU Phek have been directed to attend the inaugural function without fail. The NCSU Phek has also resolved to tour Phek for spot verification of contractors implementing works under Phek district, to check on workmanship, validity of membership registration, and passing of writing pad to non-register members which is strictly prohibited. The Union further inducted action committee members of NCSU Phek comprising Chosanyi as Convenor, C.H. Ahien, Thübo-o Demo, Panyi Movi and Ariyi Nienu as members. This was stated in a release issued by NCSU Phek president Setso Puro and joint secretary Sapralü Nyekha.
