With an aim to provide authentic indigenous culinary experience to the dinners 'Naga Cuisine' restaurant was inaugurated at Kiphire opposite Delux point on November 21, which was attended by prominent members of society and well wishers.
Speaking at the launching programme, Khumpili Ayonger, Proprietor, Naga Cuisine restaurant said journey started when 'Smokey Pot' restaurant was launched in 2019 to enable dinners to experience indigenous cultural recipes.
He said 'Naga Cuisine' restaurant is the second outlet to be launched as part of 'Smoky Pot' chain to cater to the popular demand of people who wishes to enjoy indigenous Naga food and culture.
Attributing the success in launching Naga Cuisine restaurant he thanked the people of Kiphire for constantly extending support and cooperation towards local entrepreneurs in a competitive culinary business.
He stated his main aim in opening the restaurant was to help generate employment for the youths of Kiphire and at the same time help boost the economy of Kiphire in a small way.
He added that with the help of the Land Resources Department (LRD), Kiphire, Naga Cuisine restaurant will be offering indigenous coffee harvested in Kiphire to coffee lovers.
He expressed his gratitude to the dedicated staffs' of Naga Cuisine for maintaining high culinary standards and quality in providing service to dinners and visitors.
Dedicatory prayer was led by Associate Pastor, Alison Sangtam, Sangtam Baptist Church Kiphire Town, while special song was presented by Lumzila Sangtam, winner of the StarGazer Solo contest 2024.
