
Kohima, July 14 (MExN): In pursuance with the order of the office of Chief Secretary Nagaland, Phek deputy commissioner today informed that all the existing guidelines with regard to the lockdown as per letter dated May 4, in all parts of the state, shall continue to remain operative in Phek district till July 31.
The order reiterated that the following activities will continue to remain prohibited during the lockdown period:
• All schools, colleges, educational, training, coaching institutions etc. However, online or distance learning shall be permitted.
• All social, political, sports, entertainment, academic, cultural, religious functions, other gathering.
• The movement of individual for all non-essential activities shall remain strictly prohibited between 5:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
• All persons above 65 years of age, persons with co-morbidities, pregnant women and children below the age of 10 years, shall stay at home, except for meeting essential requirements and for health purpose, as per the national directives.
• As a matter of abundant caution, sealing of inter-state borders will continue in toto, for Pfutsero and Meluri sub division, only movement of goods vehicles entering or transiting through the state shall be allowed after proper medical screening of the drivers and attendants of those vehicles through designated entry and exit points.
• Inter district movement of commercial passenger vehicles shall remain barred except vehicles carrying goods.
Further, stating that it has been observed that there is increasing number of inter-district movements by the public despite the continued prohibition of such movements by the state Government, Phek DC Sachin Jaiswal informed the public to refrain from unnecessary movement except for medical reasons or urgent works or for unavoidable reason as permitted by the state government.
