LONGKHIM, JULY 1 (MExN): The Longkhim Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) meeting was held on June 30, 2025, at DUDA Hall, Longkhim, Tuensang, under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) and Vice Chairman of the SDPDB, Anoka H Assumi.
The meeting began with a welcome address by the chairman, followed by self-introduction of newly inducted members and a review of the minutes of the previous meeting.
Among the key agendas, the board discussed and approved the proposal for the Local Area Development Programme (LADP) Scheme, including the Common Pool component for the year 2025–26 under 52 A/C Longkhim-Chare. The approved proposal will be forwarded to the government for necessary action.
The house also deliberated on the district administration’s proposal for the sanction of an annual fund for maintenance of government assets and to address emergency exigencies arising from natural calamities. The proposal was approved for onward submission to the government.
With regard to infrastructure development, the board approved the construction of a pucca toilet at the IRP Quarter (Lodgement) in Longkhim, which is to be taken up by the concerned PHED department under the AMRUT Scheme.
The board also recommended the registration of the Anadong Progressive Society at Tsadang Village under Chare Circle.
In addition, the house discussed the need for posting a regular Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) or Junior Engineer (JE) from the Housing department at Longkhim to address local departmental issues promptly.
