KOHIMA, JUNE 10 (MExN): In a momentous occasion for the community and its leadership, Longlam village under Mon district witnessed the coronation of His Excellency, Wangtun Wanmei as the new Angh on June 10.
At just 25 years of age, Wangtun Wanmei is the youngest Angh in Longlam's recorded history, and said to be among the youngest Anghs in Konyak area. Chief Angh of Wangla, Leiwang, Hongphoi Angh, Manto, Lapa Angh, Tinwang and Oting Angh, Tahwang spoke during the coronation ceremony.
Peiwang Konyak exhorted the gathering, and Pastor LBC, Phuhlem blessed the coronation ceremony of the new Angh. The event was attended by the villagers & Anghs of neighbouring villages and concluded with a community feast.
