DIMAPUR, MAY 24 (MExN): The Longleng District TB Forum meeting was held on May 24 at DC conference hall, Longleng.
Dr Temsusashi, District TB Officer, Longleng in his keynote address explained about the objective of the forum besides sharing the vision of making Longleng district TB free by 2025 along with the rest of the country.
Mon Deputy Commissioner, Dharam Raj in a short speech stressed on the Prime Minister’s commitment to eliminate TB from India by 2025, where in the government is implementing a national strategic plan to end TB by 2025. He appealed all the participants to come forward and to extend their cooperation and support in carrying out the strategic plan to eliminate TB.
Tongang STS and Meriden khuvung TB-HIV coordinator also gave short speeches wherein they explained about the programme activities in the district and different incentives available under the programme. TB Champion Imtichuba also shared his testimony on his TB treatment. The meeting was followed by group discussion about TB among the participants.
