Longleng, August 6 (MExN): Longleng District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB, Longleng, Dharam Raj IAS on August 6 at DPDB Hall, Longleng.
According to a DIPR report, while reviewing the previous DPDB meeting, the board took up the previous agenda for extension of play ground and construction of rostrum at Yingli College and forwarded it to the Department of Youth Resources & Sports for necessary action. The board also forwarded for establishment of SDEO Office at Tamlu and HT line electrification at new site Longleng.
The board discussed on the application submitted by the Hope Youth Organisation requesting for financial assistance for renovation of clock tower at Longleng. After deliberation, the board decided to discuss with Urban Development for fund. The board also constituted District Award Committee, comprising of DC as Chairman; DPO as Secretary; SP Longleng, ADC Tamlu and COM Members. The Committee will award notable persons from any departments during the Independence Day celebration.
Departmental activities through PowerPoint presentations were delivered by District Industry Centre and District Skill Committee.
The Chairman directed the Departments of Social Welfare and Labour Commission to present their activities in the next meeting.
