Longleng District Planning & Development Board conducted its monthly meeting at DPDB hall on July 19.

Longleng, July 21 (MExN): The Longleng District Planning & Development Board conducted its monthly meeting at DPDB hall on July 19. Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB, Longleng, Dharam Raj (IAS) chaired the meeting.
The meeting started with welcome address by the newly appointed DPDB chairman & MLA, B Bangtick Phom followed by review of last meeting minutes, stated a DIPR report.
The following agendas were discussed and approved by the board: Proposal for creation of range officer, Forestry at Tamlu and Sakshi; Construction of godown (Civil Supply department) at Tamlu; creation of PA to DC at Tamlu, ADC HQ; proposal for construction of new official DC residence at Longleng; change of village name Shetap to Moichongching; Immediate functioning of Polytechnic College and ITI at Longleng and Grants in aid to Landmark School Kongshong Village was forwarded to concern department. Registration of Avoda Society and Lenjetepjen Society was also approved and forwarded to the concerned department.
The Chairman in his short speech seek co-operation from the members and the people of Longleng. He requested all the district officers to be present in their respective place of posting.
During the meeting, Animals Husbandry and Veterinary department presented the departmental activities. Agriculture department was entrusted for presentation in the next DPDB meeting. During the meeting, Bangtick Phom launched the Hills Coffee Roasters product at Longleng.
