Longleng: Girl students urged to have 'principles in life'

District Task Force BBBP Longleng along with Mahila Shakti Kendra & One Stop Centre Longleng with the students during the observance of National Education Day held at Government Middle School Shayung Longleng on November 11.

Longleng, November 11 (MExN): District Task Force BBBP Longleng along with Mahila Shakti Kendra & One Stop Centre Longleng conducted awareness on ‘Importance of Girl Child Education’ in commemoration of National Education Day on November 11 at Government Middle School Shayung Longleng.

Phungla Phom, WWO MSK speaking on the importance of girl child education said “educated girls are found to be confident and can make decisions on their own and become self-reliant.” She explained that education makes a person strong- mentally, socially and intellectually. She encouraged the girl students to have their own principles in life and also elaborated on the quotes, “Little Girls with dreams become women with vision” and “educating a girl is educating a nation”. 

She further informed the students and the teachers that DTF BBBP, MSK and OSC Longleng is ready to assist and urged them to visits their respective office or call them for any queries.

While delivering vote of thanks, OSC Centre administrator, Henchem Phom highlighted about the services provided under Sakhi-One stop centre Longleng. The program was chaired by MSK District Coordinator, Tutinungla Phom.
