Longleng, August 9 (MExN): The Longleng Town Council has informed all its citizens “that the Government is funding for construction of public toilets and individual household latrines under Swachh Bharat Mission at Longleng Town Council.” In this connection, the SDO Civil, Longleng D Robin in a notification has informed that the programme was intended to bring about "Open Defecation Free" (ODF) in Longleng Town. “It has been publicly announced inviting public feedbacks / objection within 15 days of announcement,” it added. Anyone found indulging in open defecation, a penalty of Rs 200 shall be imposed for the first offence and Rs 300 for the subsequent offence.
