Longon opens OP complex in Zunheboto

ZUNHEBOTO, April 28 (DIPR): Minister for Health & Family Welfare (H&FW), P Longon, on April 28, inaugurated an Operation Theatre Complex at Hezukhu Memorial District Hospital, Zunheboto.  

Speaking at the inaugural program, the minister said, in his three year as minister in- charge of HoFW, he has undertaken a visit to all the 11 district hospital to see the real scenario of the functioning of the hospital by himself and said Zunheboto district hospital was among the worst hospital in the entire state interms of infrastructures and manpower. Lamenting that 12 NLA were greatly hampered due to power tussle for which many developmental activities were also affected, the minister said, Zunheboto district hospital will also be included in the next Forward Linkage Scheme funded by NRHM for construction of new building.  

Parliamentary Secretary, Jail, ST and NKVIB, Hukavi Zhimomi in his short speech appreciated the minister for the concern he has for the Nagas and said Sumis has sincere hope in him to construct a new district hospital building while lamenting that the present dilapidated building was constructed way back in 1960's which cannot be considered for renovation anymore. President, Sumi Hoho, Hekishe also spoke and submitted a representation to the minister. Earlier the program was chaired by Medical Superintendent, Dr. Kheshito Zhimo while vote of thanks was delivered by CMO, Dr. Hokishe. The minister was also accompanied by officials from Directorate of Health and Family Welfare.
