Dimapur, May 16 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation today requested Naga students’ unions spread across the country to look into the needs of non-Naga inhabitants of Nagaland who are stranded in various cities.
In a press release issued on May 16, the NSF acknowledged the proactive roles played by various Naga students’ unions across the country in “mitigating the sufferings of our people” in view of the nationwide lockdown and also reminded the unions that there exist sections of non-Nagas who are permanent inhabitants of the state and does not qualify as members the unions. The needs of this section of people stranded outside the state also needs to be looked into, it added.
As such, the NSF appealed the unions to reach out and ensure that all possible help is extended towards them, while adding that “…this is no time for classification nor division based on class, creed or religion and that only a united effort can help us triumph over this deadly virus.”
