Kohima, November 23 (MExN): Taking a jibe at the BJP campaign in Mizoram the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) asked the State's Deputy CM, Y Patton to “take critical view of our own state roads that needs urgent attention rather than indulge in proclaiming lies about Christians of Nagaland.”
A statement from NPCC Media Cell claimed that Nagaland BJP leaders campaigning for the party in poll-bound Mizoram “made a mockery of Nagas before the eyes of our Mizo brethrens.”
To claim that 99% Christian population of Nagaland accepted the BJP and complaining about the about “bad roads in Mizoram has become the subject of ridicule and lowered the image of elected leaders from Nagaland.”
Why should Patton drag the “name of Christians in Nagaland to defend and promote BJP” adding the hidden agendas of the BJP in the guise of development has been exposed throughout the country.
The NPCC further stated that “the dilapidated roads of Nagaland are full of mud during monsoon and dust clouds during winter; visibly portraying the miserable failure of the earlier NPF led DAN government and continued by PDA government during the past 16 years.”
“We, therefore, request him to take a critical view of our own state roads that need urgent attention rather than indulge in proclaiming lies about Christians of Nagaland”, the statement added.
NPCC then reminded Y Patton, the Minister In charge of National Highways not to forget our own pathetic roads that have made life miserable for the people of Nagaland.
