Losami Students’ Union 62nd general session held

The Losami Students’ Union (LSU) held its 62nd general session in coinciding with 77th General Conference of the Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) on February 2 last at Losami under the theme “ Embracing unity in midst of cultural chaos.”

Nagaland New & Renewable Energy and NSDMA Advisor Z Nyusietho Nyuthe graced the session as the special guest. Speaking on the occasion, the Advisor challenged the students to aim for higher excellence. Nyuthe called upon the students to exercise positive attitude and contribute to the social well-being.

Losami Village Council Chairman Zechete Mekrisuh exhorted the gathering while Khrolhiweu Tsuhah, former president Chizami Students' Union shared greetings. LSU President Menelo Mebou delivered presidential address while LSU general secretary Webeko Akami highlighted the activities of the LSU.

Losami Baptist Church (LBC) CYE presented welcome song while Webiu K Tara presented special number. The session was chaired by Dr Pfopelou Kepfoh and compered by Chekhoweu Akami and Wehiwu Mekrisuh.

Neikhwewe Mekrisuh, Associate Pastor LBC and Wewupeu Kepfoh, Associate Pastor (Women) LBC pronounced invocation and benediction respectively.

Pfhiilo Sara is new president of CSU
Pfhulo Sara has been elected as the new president of the Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) during 77th General Conference at Losami. 

Other office bearers for the tenure 2024-26 announced by CSU Election Commissioner Dode Nakro on February 2 includes; Vice President-Povozo Soho, General secretary-Kuzoto Swuro, Assistant t General Secretary-Nehuto Rhakho, Finance Secretary-Rhilo Chiero, Banker-Vezho Sakha, Education Secretary-Vetsokho Lohe, Social & Cultural Secretary-Tekhewulo Chirah, Games  & Sports Secretary-Shenekruyi Riiho, Publicity & information secretary Saku Khusoh and editor- Kekhroche Koza. Speaker-Rokuvi Movi and assembly secretary- Tekhekhro Lasuh.
