Phek, December 14 (MExN): The Losami Wrestling Association (LWA) will hold its 38th Wrestling meet 2025 on December 22 at Losami Local Ground.
Wepe Mekrisuh, secretary COB NPF Nagaland will be the opening guest.
Pfiitsiikolo Akami, secretary VDB Losami will be the closing guest. The champion under ‘A’ category will receive Rs. 18,000 while the 2nd, 3rd and 4th position will get Rs. 15,000, Rs. 12,000 and Rs. 10,000 respectively.
The winner under ‘B’ Category will get Rs. 7000 while 2nd, 3rd and 4th position will be awarded with Rs. 5000, Rs. 4000 and Rs. 3000 respectively
For Under 15 category, the champion will get Rs. 8000 while 2nd, 3rd and 4th position will pocket Rs. 6000, Rs. 5000 and Rs, 4000 respectively. The prize money in this category is sponsored by Losami Uniform Service Union.
Track suit for the selected wrestlers will be sponsored Wewuhi Akami, PA to Advisor NSDMA & NRE, Government of Nagaland.
Cap will be sponsored by Eyewekho M Nusoh, Unit president NPF.
The patrons for 38th wrestling meet includes; Chetezo Akami, Chekholo Akami, Kekhwehi Akami, Zote Theke, Hiweku Mebou, Tekhewe Khesoh, Chedeku K Tara, Wewuzo K Tara, Zekope Kepfoh, Mesete Akami and Mesewetso Akami.
The inaugural programme, starting at 9:00 AM, will be led by Hichote K. Tara while
LWA president Kuhi Mekrisuh will deliver welcome address.
LWA technical secretary Mehipe K Tara will administer oath to the wrestlers.
