The 33rd meet of the Losami Youth Sports Association (LYSA) got underway today at Losami Local Ground with Z.Nyusietho Nyuthe, retired Addl Secretary and ex-candidate 20 AC Meluri as opening guest.
Eyewekho M Nusoh led the inaugural ceremony.
Nyuthe in his speech encouraged the youth to be sincere, honest, punctual and truthful.
He further advised the players to have a zeal for sports with great enthusiasm since the sports industry is growing and has big employment avenues.
He also maintained that youth must be cautious of their health and abstain from taking any intoxicants.
Hikewe Swuro administered oath to the participants. Altogether, 278 youths enrolled for five days tournament.
Eyewekho M Nusoh led the inaugural ceremony. Meanwhile, the Village Council Losami acknowledged Wemhiechie Akami, who will playing in the Subroto Cup in New Delhi.
The Village Council thanked DC Phek and Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Phek for extending machineries and financial support in maintaining the NEC road leading to Phek Town.
