Wokha, August 27 (MExN): The Lotha Baptist Churches Association (LBCA), Lotha Baptist Churches Pastors Conference (LBCPC) and Lotha Hoho jointly organized a public rally at Police Point, Wokha on August 27 to express resentment over the proposed immersion of the ashes of Vajpayee at Doyang river.
The rally was addressed by Rev Nyanchumo Lotha, Executive Secretary LBCA; Mhao Lotha, Chairman, Lotha Hoho; and Rev Ellis Lotha, Chairma, LBCPC, a release here informed.
Several hundreds including members of LBCA and pastors under it, Lotha Hoho, all frontal organizations under Wokha district and the Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) attended the rally.
After a series of speeches, the congregation unanimously declared that any kind of act or ritual which are alien to Christian faith and belief and the culture of the Lothas shall be resented even in the days to come, the release also stated. The rally ended with a mass prayer.
