Dimapur, May 21 (MExN): Lotha Baptist Theological Association held its 34th conference from May 13-15 at Vankhosüng LBCA Mission Centre, with the theme "The King's Cupbearer" (Nehemiah 1:11).
Rev. Mhathung Lotha, Pastor, Kohima Lotha Baptist Church; Elizabeth Ovung, CNY Director, Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur; and Rev Longshi Kithan, Pastor, Police Baptist Church Wokha were the main speakers. They spoke on the important traits of a Christian worker such as sincerity, trust-worthiness and commitment in the Christian service.
According to a press note, Meribeni Zares conducted the Bible Study, stressing on the 7 mountains of influence, which deals on imparting kingdom values to the congregation and reaching out to the people outside of the church.
Rev. Thungjamo Lotha also presented a paper on "Servant Leadership: A biblical perspective", while Thungdeno Mozhui, Project Director, DRDA Wokha, and T Lotha, IFS, Chairman Nagaland State Biodiversity Board, both exhorted the delegates to be faithful and creative in ministry.
Golden Crown Theological College students led the praise and worship throughout the session. GCTC students also presented special number on the first day. The other groups which presented special songs during the sessions were WTC Vankhosüng, and theological students from Wokha Town Baptist Church.
KBTA Theological Journal May 2016 under the same theme "The Kings' Cupbearer" was also released during the conference with contribution from N Mhabemo Kithan, Avoni Odyuo, Daniel Topf, and O. James Kithan.
Mhonchumo S Lotha, Y. Chumbenthung Murry, O. Thungben Kikon, Zuthunglo Ezung, and Rev. Dr. Nzan Odyuo were also re-elected as officials of the association at the conference.
The next conference in 2018 will be held at Golden Crown Theological College, hosted by the college.
