Match between Airfield and Lower Senchum.
Wokha, January 17 (MExN): On the second day of the ongoing Lotha Football Championship 2024 organised by Wokha District Football Association (WDFA) played at local ground Wokha, Restoring Boys Vungoju, XI Bother and Airfield Football Club registered win respectively.
The first match of the day was played between defending champions XI Brothers and Vibers Football club. XI Brothers outplayed Vibers FC and defeated them by seven goals, Mhonthung scored 4 goals for XI Brothers and became the first player to score hat-rick of the tournament, his goals came in the 13th, 45th, 49th and 67th minute of the game, Mhadermo and Sachumo also contributed a goal each for XI Brothers.
In the second match, Restoring Boys beat NRSA by a solitary goal; Chumbemo scored the lone and winning goal for Restoring Boys in the 64th minute of the game.
Airfield FC defeated Lower Senchum by 3-1 in the last match of the day. The goals for Airfield came from the boots of Yanchibemo and Chumthungo. Yanchibemo scored two goals in the 43rd & 62nd minute.
