As a mark of respect towards the beautiful game of football and also towards the Wokha District Football Association (WDFA), the players and team management of Nyiro Range Sports’ Association (NRSA) and Englan Range Sports’ Association (ERSA) exchanged flowers, signifying forgiveness and mutual understanding during the Quarter Finals at the ongoing Lotha Football Championship 2024 on January 29.
By exchanging the flowers, the players and management of NRSA and ERSA exhibited the understanding between the teams and the WDFA to let go, and move forward with understanding and compassion. It also signified reconciliation and mutual understanding.
This comes after an unfortunate violence erupted on the field during the second match between the teams at the ongoing championship held at Public Ground, Wokha.
It may be mentioned here that NRSA and ERSA were suspended by WDFA for one year with immediate effect from January 27, 2024 following the violence incident.
