Match between XI Brothers and NRSA on the 6th day of the LFC tournament.
DIMAPUR, JANUARY 22 (MExN): Restoring Boys Vungoju and ERSA won their matches at the ongoing Lotha Football Championship organised by the WDFA today.
In the first match played at local ground, Wokha Restoring Boys defeated Young Brothers FC 5-1. Hatsabemo scored the fourth hat-trick of the tournament who found the net in the 25th, 59th & 60th minute of the game. Chumben and Mhademo contributed a goal each for Restoring Boys. The match between defending champions XI Brothers and NRSA ended in a draw after both teams scored 1 goal each. Saronbemo scored an early goal for XI Brothers in the 6th minute of the game, but in the last minute of the first half Mhao scored the equalising goal for NRSA. Both the teams found several opportunities to score in the second half of the match but failed to convert them. With the draw, XI Brothers are through to the quarter finals with 10 points in Group-A. In a close encounter, Englan Range Sports Association defeated Tchyiro FC 2-1. Until the first half, Tchyiro were leading the game with an early goal which came from the boots of Sungchung, but ERSA came strong in the second half of the game and went on to win the match by 2 goals. Tumbemo and Mhademo scored the winning goal from ERSA in the 62nd and 68th minute of the game.
