Lotha Hoho responds to LPO

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 26 (MExN): The Lotha Hoho (LH) on Thursday said two persons namely Yansathung Jami and Y Mhonchumo Lotha from their community was yet to respond to the 10-day notice it served to the Lotha participants of Naga Hoho for resignation from their respective posts.

Instead, the Lotha Public Organization (LPO) had responded on their behalf with worded caution that the Hoho chairman and general secretary would be held responsible if anything happened to the two person in question, the LH in a rejoinder issued by its chairman Er Mhondamo Ovung and general secretary, S Aben Ngullie on Thursday alleged.

Also expressing surprise on what it termed as ‘connivance’ of the two persons in question with the LPO president Sulanthung Humtsoe and general secretary Zaremo Kikon, the LH stated that “what Yansathung Jami and Y. Mhonchumo Lotha, do in Naga Hoho, will be of their own and has nothing to do with the Lotha Hoho and the Lotha tribe.”

The LH will also hold Sulanthung Humtsoe, Zaremo Kikon, Yansathung Jami and Y. Mhonchumo Lotha, responsible for any untoward eventuality that may happen to any of the Lotha Hoho office bearers, advisers and executive members, it added.

The LH meanwhile reiterated that the selection of its office bearers was done strictly as per the existing guidelines, followed since 1990 and there was no reason to question its legitimacy.

If anyone wants to satisfy himself/herself, with the process of selection, it may be done so at the Hoho office on any Tuesday between 11 am and 2 pm, the LH informed.

This, the LH stated is not to clarify to the ‘self styled’ LPO; but to apprise the readers that the Lotha public had unanimously reaffirmed on July 19, 2019 the legitimacy of the LH team and the “so called LPO declared as illegal and anti Lotha.”

It maintained that the Lotha Hoho is ready to sit across the table to discuss and sort things out, for any grievance or suggestion from anyone, for the benefit of the Lothas as a whole.
