Lotha Regional Council (NNC) on president election

Wokha, January 22 (MExN): Midan Peyu, Lotha Regional Council (NNC) Shanremo Tsopoe has clarified that the Council’s president election, which was held on January 21, 2014 at LTC Hall here was conducted in a clean procedure by the following election committee - Shanremo (Midan Peyu), Thungchamo (Khapor), Zanrao (SRC President), Chumdemo (Razu Peyu), Khocherao (Chaplain) Tsenchamo and Nzeo (General Secretary).

Altogether 53 members were present during the election in addition to 11 ballot papers. Out of the 53 votes, Fuchamo Tsopoe got 23 votes, and Yilow Humtsoe got 30 votes plus all the 11 ballot papers securing 41 votes in total, informed the Midan Peyu in a press release. According to the result of the votes cast and norms of the election, the election committee elected Yilow Humtsoe (Vice President) as the new president for Lotha Regional Council (NNC), the release declared.

Further, the Lotha Regional Council (NNC) Midan Peyu stated that Yilow Humtsoe will be recognized as the new president for the Lotha Regional Council (NNC) for the next 5 years term. No other person/complaint will be endorsed by the LRC (NNC) for the presidentship, he added. He also felicitated the new president and prayed that the almighty God bless him and guide him in his presidentship for the betterment of the people of Lotha region.
